Really impressive 🦵 speed all night. Lots of hustle and 💪

I love seeing Boo getting to the bucket. 57% of his shots this season are two-pointers, highest in his career and an indication that he’s comfortable enough to avoid blocks and to get the two freebies when they come. His first basket of the night — a hard drive from the top of the key leading to a running floater as the shot clock hit zero — would’ve been a step back three in any other season.

Was at the game. We were handily outrebounded with lots of turnovers. But when we stole the lead going into half, you just knew this was a veteran team that was going to find a way to win.

Buie drove hard to the basket and exercised great shot selection. And we killed them from beyond the arc. Everyone played their role solidly. Kind of makes that (those) Michigan loss(es) a head scratcher.

I think we were gassed by the time we got Michigan at home. That was the sixth game in 13 days. It showed.

Last night, we got fairly destroyed in the paint, OSU regularly broke down our perimeter defense, OSU shot the lights out from mid-range, and we still held them to 63 points. After watching a bunch of teams light it up beyond the arc against us, I guess we were due some breaks in that department.

Michigan might be pretty good.
We caught Indiana and Illinois on valleys; possible that we caught Michigan just at the wrong time at home.

NU lost to Michigan on the road because winning on the road is tough, even if NU’s been doing it really well.

I will absolutely admit I couldn’t have been more wrong about this team going into the season. I expected pre season losses and a zero win B1G. Wow. I’m fully committed and looking to attend a post season conference game and might travel to
Indy for the B1G.

This has been a good run. I remember you wanted 5 wins in Jan. That was achieved. Then they went 4-2 over those 13 games and now 2 road wins in places where we usually get crushed.

They may have played a few teams at fortuitous times, but that Covid stretch was a killer. Losing Roper looked like it would loom large, but Martinelli has given some great minutes.

I am confident this team will get better offensively. Their road record helps to mitigate the weak non-conference schedule. The team believes in themselves and we, as fans all need to believe they are good too!

I thought this team was good enough for 7 wins. And would deliver a CC special and end up winning 5.

I was wrong and this is fun.

The past two games, NU had the opportunity to crumble at the base and concede again that they really can't compete in the conference... get back to their historically atrocious past. Many expected it - duh-OSU was favored by 5. Both games looked about even - and away games! - but NU found the will to win both. This team could be better than the 2017 team. In answer to 320, it is the big fun to have a competitive team.

The rest of the regular season NU faces 5 dance-level teams. Purdue will likely be favored by 15; IU will likely be favored by 10, even though NU is at home. But as the SEC coach once said, "Always remember, Goliath was favored by 50." And as Florida Alum once noted, he was All-Philistine.

GO CATS!!!!!

Mich was only the 5th in 10 days but it was also with only one day between late night travel and the game, 6th game in 13 was WIS in Madison. THe Mich game was the one I figured was most likely for a let down in the string
