The saddest part is we all knew 30-3 was not enough points to guarantee a win. I told a friend at halftime, “wouldn’t it be so “Carolina” for us to lose today” They said shut up lol. Life as a Gamecock. I finally got a life and these games don’t mean so much anymore. Now I waste that money I would have spent on football on doing things with friends family and fishing. I’m entering the portal as a fan. Ohio state seems like a great landing spot

Cheerleader Shane celebrating at halftime like the game's over.

What moron does that too in a hostile environment? Our excuse for a coach.

We've been witnessing Shame since the baseball coach hired him. I thank him for his fluke wins, but he SUCKS as a head football coach.
Agreed, I think he was very lucky and found “lightning in a bottle” with that D last year and Rocket Sanders. He may never win again in Columbia.

For some unknown reason, I thought we might kick a field goal at the end to win it, and crush TAM's playoff hopes.
As a Gamecock, I should have known better.
For a few seconds I thought the same thing. How foolish of us.

This is why Gamecock fans my age (62) or older are never comfortable, no matter what the opponent or what kind of lead we have. We sit back, waiting for the shoe to drop. Clapping harder makes no difference.
I'm right there with you in age. Life-long Gamecock. I wanted to believe at the half, but my heart and brain knew this could happen.

I told my wife at halftime to keep me from getting excited. During this time I was contemplating what could go wrong. My thought was, even if we didn't score in the 2nd half, we'd still win, as long as we didn't give up 28 points. I was not comfortable.

We all had that nightmare scenario in the back of our heads but still thought surely something can go right for us in the second half and we win in the end. Nope. The nightmare became reality.

I was at the game. At halftime all the A&M fans were mad and upset. I told all that sat around me to relax. “Yall will win this game”. At the end they all patted me on the back and called me a prophet. I said I’m not. Just a lifelong gamecock fan.

Here's the one that will kick you where it hurts. Beamer gets an automatic raise of $100,000 at the end of the season. It's built into his contract extension.

Good. Maybe once all the money is gone we can quit football
