He played for the Thunder last night. 16 minutes, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.

Watching his G league games, it's pretty obvious he's in the top tier of players.

He’s going prettt awesome. He’s played on 18 of the Thunder’s first 30 games. This is for the top team in the NBA and defending champ, so not a team just playing garbage guys in garbage time. He’s currently on pace to exceed the game limit in his contract, so there is a chance he’ll get elevated to a full deal. His rate stats from his 8 minutes per game are all like solid role player level, so he’s earning his time as a respectable bench option while only being a rookie.

No way to stay his career isn’t off to a pretty fantastic start.

His G league stats are star stats, they look like his college line. Nearly 20 ppg, a ton of rebounds, over 5 assists per game (!!!) and great steals and blocks.

The kid is just a ******* dog. He’s got a little bit of everything in his game. It’s amazing how fast he’s adapting to the pro game. He’s gonna make a lot of money playing pro basketball.

OKC has a bunch of role players who will get more expensive as the Thunder keep winning games and likely championships, and Brooks is positioned really nicely to be the backfill when some of those guys sign bigger deals elsewhere. Truly the perfect spot for him, and I think he will have a career as an NBA rotation player at worst. I do not underestimate his ability to push far higher than that.

Remember this is a Northwestern University sports board. Spelling, punctuation, grammar, and vocabulary all count.

I PREDICT… that Barnhizer will be the first Northwestern player to win an NBA championship ring as a player.

Only if someone else knocks the Spurs out for them
Let’s see if Wemby stays healthy all season and available should they meet in the postseason. The Spurs have been very impressive but his health seems tenuous at best.

I agree. I'd be stunned if he makes it to the playoffs .
