It's a given Zion is going to New Orleans. The word is AD will be traded to LA in exchange for Brandon Ingram and many more pieces. Frank and Oak are there, and there is a chance Jabari may come down. Trajon is the Assistant GM.

I'm looking forward to the good things Dave Grif will bring to the Big Easy.

I’m just waiting for an NBA franchise to be stacked with Dukies to get me interested in the league again. I would LOVE to have 3 or 4 ex-Duke players starting on a team and that team be really good. I wish it would be the Hawks

Gosh. The NBA is really good. Have you gave it a chance recently? I totally get stigmas because some of them do exist. But, the NBA is a really good product. They just need to figure a few things out. Toronto winning would be one.....although that’s not something they can make happen.

I haven’t honestly watched an entire NBA game since Dominique Wilkins retired and the Hawks sucked again! The biggest issue for me is I can’t just watch any game. My team has to be playing or I just can’t get into it. I’m the same with college basketball and football as well. I hardly ever watch if it isn’t Duke basketball or Clemson football. Pro sports, I am an Atlanta fan. I don’t remember the Hawks being on TV much in recent years. Then I again, I really haven’t checked. Maybe I should

The NBA sucks. it's like watching a glorified Y league pick up game

Other than the constant isolation, the other thing I can't stand is the officiating. In one of the games between Toronto and Golden State, Thompson takes 3 HUGE steps to the basket, taking off one dribble from half court, no call. Steph palms the ball like a 4th grader, no call. Then another guy, a reserve, takes one step, whistle, travel. The stuff stars get away with is ridiculous.

I like watching NBA playoffs. I just wish they’d eliminate the foul baiting. If a guy jumps into the defender, that should be an offensive foul or no call. They should also make it a 60 game season so that the regular season games feel more important and the players get more rest.

The games actually are entertaining. It’s the constant whining over EVERY foul call, and the 4 1/2 steps some take. Then they look at the ref and say they got fouled.
The part of the game that’s filtered down to the college game, and in my opinion making college worse, is the jumping in to the defender or flopping like they got hacked.

If Jabari goes to the pelicans it would be interesting to see what position he’d play. Given that Zion would slide to the pf spot if the lakers and them trade Ingram would be the three with Jah at center.. Kuzma and hart with the fourth pick were mentioned in the recent trade.

Look if the Celtics make the gamble. Tatum next to Zion and Jah .

I was a big hater of the NBA for a long time, but then I moved to a NBA town and started paying more attention (kind of forced to bc everyone I know here does and it’s always the topic of conversation). It helped that Portland has had quite a few Dukies since I’ve been here. I think that plays a big part in fan hood. When I lived in KS, no one talked about the NBA. It was all college sports. In OR, it’s all Blazers and sometimes Oregon football or Oregon State baseball. Hardly anyone follows CBB.

My favorite part of the NBA is the off-season, and i mean that sincerely. I love the free agency period, the rumors, the trades, the constant over evaluation of every move. After that a close second is the draft and leading up to the draft. Then it’s the finals, then the playoffs, then the summer league, and finally the regular season. A few days obviously a year top the list, such as Christmas Day with the association.

100% Pelicans- Zion, Big Jah, Frank Jackson.

1 of these 2 scenarios will happen....
75% chance- Ingram (everything I'm reading, the Lakers are the favorites to trade for AD hence Ingram.)
25% chance- RJ Barrett. This would involve AD going to the Knicks instead of the Lakers.

25% chance Jabari signs with the Pelicans. As a "new" Pelicans fans, not sure how much I want them to sign Jabari to be honest.

I hope like hell the Knicks can trade for AD so that RJ and Zion can begin their pro careers together. I think that would be a lot of fun. It also keeps AD away from bron, who i cant stand.

I'm just excited about the culture shift in New Orleans. RJ probably won't be traded.

This is a great point. It is hard to get interested when most regular season games do not mean anything.82 games makes it physically impossible for anyone regardless of their conditioning to play hard every game.I thing that 75 percent of the teams make the playoffs each year. You cut that to four teams per conference and you ramp up the intensity during the season.I also know this will never happen because the reduced number of games would decrease the bottom lines for teams but in my case I would watch more games

If i were him I’d exercise that one year deal he has the player option on with golden state and then see where things are in a year .
Yea, that makes sense bc of the injury. If that's the decision he makes, I wonder if its what he would have done if he didn't get injured.

2- Ingram

Let’s see it for a stretch. Might not be a good stretch but it would be nice to see an all duke lineup

What’s funny is the Knicks are so cursed that KD blew out his Achilles a month before even signing with them.
That injury not only will cost them KD next year (even if he signs with them, he ain’t playing), but significantly lowers their odds at getting AD, Kyrie, or a second star. Yikes.

The only thing the Knicks can hope for is a ton of guys just sign really short term deals.
