must we lose in the last minute before CCC changes his philosophy from trying not to lose to winning the darn game by continuing to run the offense rather than hoping the clock will expire?
One could argue that he changed his philosophy by not calling time out on
either of our last two possessions.
I think he should have called timeout with a minute to go, up by 4. Take Nicholson out because Rutgers was likely to foul him (if necessary) and he was 1-6 from the line. Bring in Barnhizer (or Berry).
Most coaches would have called time out after Rutgers made the 3 to take the lead. Our history of calling timeout and running a designed play in those situations is not inspiring, but it isn't good when the coach lacks confidence in our ability to score out of a timeout.
