How many Steak n Shake burgers could you eat?

Perhaps 3 max.

I actually dined at a Steak n Shake in Orlando a few months ago. Spent more time answering questions about my Brompton folding bike, which I carried into the restaurant, than eating.

Lived 1/4 mile from a steak n shake for a year when I first moved to Columbus. Never ate there a single time, tried a shake once, which was extremely mediocre. Looked and smelled disgusting. No thanks. Don't understand how fast food restaurants are so popular and people keep eating there, its all disgusting trash.

Oh I definitely understand how they're popular, just don't understand how they're so popular. In my home state of West Virginia its literally 90% of the restaurants. In some cities that's all there is. I mean really? The population likes fast food so much that its basically the only option and doesn't give local mom and pop restaurants that are sometimes really good a chance? Just don't understand their overwhelming popularity.

If you're from a small town then you know small town local restaurants by and large suck. A small town just doesn't have the numbers to support a real quality restaurant without corporate backing.

If I skip the fries and drink water, I think I could do 3-4 of the Frisco Melts. Those things get me turnt.

So you're saying you ate there. A milkshake. That you smelled. Untuck your loaf and live a little.

It's a shame the one in E-town is so bad. Would love to be able to eat there more often. I've been to good ones, but this one is just abysmal. If it weren't for the location it would be out of business.

I'll buy, so long as you don't order fish, grilled chicken, or anything not cattle related.

You want one of those funny hats too? Some quarters for the grab-claw machine?

Y'all are seriously doubting yourselves. 10 would be nothing. Their doubles are like a single from a lot of places.

For whatever reason, Steak and Shake has never been close enough for me to give it a shot. May have to go out of my way after reading this thread.

I can eat 3 Five Guys double bacon cheeseburgers when someone else is buying,
and I once ate 22 White Castle sliders, though I wasn't really pushing it and feel like that was no big feat.

I always looked at Steak n shake like it was waffle houses brother. A little more clean and professional but still a *****.

Frisco melts are awesome tho.

Because most new restaurants go out of business. Chains have a system that works. They no how to churn customers and make money.

Plus it's West Virginia, not exactly a hot bed for culinary innovation.

For the money, Steak n Shake is really hard to beat. I mean, $4 for nearly every meal? Solid.

Some Steak and Shake have a seven patty challenge. 7 patties and 7 pieces of cheese. 1 bun. Even if you eat it, you stiill gotta pay for it.

They should at least give you a hat and a milkshake.

My estimation puts 7 SnS burgers at about 4" of beef not counting the bun. That ain't ****, imo.
