How many trays will Trae Young have tonight?

Can Lon teach D? I'm not much of a hoops fan, but backside rotation...anyone?

And we are going to see a lot of 2 guards out on Trae the rest of the year. In the first half when they did that we should have looked for cuts inside, instead we were jacking 3s like we were down by 20 when the game started.

Lon has go to control that $h!#.

I think this team has a lot of talent but they do seem to play in some ways like the football team. That is not a whole lot of defense and try to just outscore everyone. So far they have done that mostly but I am not sure what the hype is about Young. I think the kid is very talented but sometimes he just makes some very bad passes, loses the ball on his own and throws up shots that makes me wonder what he is doing. I know the basketball guys know more about him than I do but I don't see the "ready for the NBA" in him just yet. Everyone seems to think he is one and done but I think he needs to develop a little better but thats just me.

Tonight this team got outplayed in so many ways and some of the 3's that were jacked up just made no sense. They were missing badly tonight on them. There is no doubt the B12 is one heck of a BB league and OU should make the tournament but I am just not sold on them going very deep in the tournament with the way they play at times.

That game did look ugly. In my opinion, that is because Trae had an off night.
If that was the only time you had seen him play, you would probably call him a selfish, loose-cannon.
But after watching him play many games earlier in the year, that is his game and most of the time this year, it has been very fruitful.
He was in a slump and tried to shoot his way out of it.
The turnovers may have been a result of his (lack of) offense.
But those wild shots he missed against KSU are the same shots he built his nation leading 29+ PPG average on.
Hopefully, that was just an off night.

I have actually watched a few games this year but maybe I have just not seen enough of him. I do know the 5 games I have watched him play this year there are times he shows the talent everyone raves about and other times he seems to go on bad streaks with his passes and even his shots. Maybe thats just him being a freshman and adjusting to the college game because it is unlike what he has seen at the HS level.

I just don't believe from what I have seen he will be ready for the jump to the NBA after just one year. Maybe he does but I would hope that his dad who did play in the NBA will be able to guide him in that process.

^ this. While Trae had very few treys, he had tray after tray of turnovers and missed shots. Hopefully he'll be like Buddy & make the right choice and return next year.
