How much impact will the newcomers make?

Well I'd say you're correct in the sense of OT and LB. I'd say the DL will be boosted by some of the Jucos (assuming Pringle comes). It wouldn't surprise me either if we sign Stephen Johnson II that he could take away a significant amount of snaps from Barker and might even start.

1, Leavitt will be a starting OT...and outside of Toth...I hope he's our best OL. We really need a good edge OT
2. Love will be the MLB...and I think he's a better fit than Forrest. More thump vs. the run which we sorely need.
3. If we hold to Jordan Bonner...I really think he could start at Jack LB over Denzil Ware. We need a mature edge rusher IMO.
4. McKinnis is the punter guess?

It may surprise prople, but I expect one of the frosh DBs to be in the 2 deep, even with our returners and RSs.

I hope the P isn't near the biggest impact FR.

Usually I would agree on the punter comment but the reality is Foster punted so beyond horrible last year that he single handedly put our team in terrible positions time and again in almost every game. For an offense that struggled mightily, having a terrible punter was a killer.

If the new guy is just average to good he almost assuradly would be the most impactful newcomer

Fingers crossed Leavitt is as much of an improvement we all hope him to be.

I agree that any two of the three new DB's could very likely be in the 2 deep at corner. The safety spot is set but beyond Westry, corner is still a question. Griffin and Robinson will definitely walk in the door with the talent to play.

Leavitt- starting LT
McKinniss- starting P
Young- backup, possible starting OT
Bonner- will play because he's already RS, so backup JACK LB (could overtake Ware)
Johnson- backup QB
Love- starting MLB
Laster- starting WLB
Hart- backup TE
M. Jones- if he's back on team, he's starting LG
Ross- backup WR- already RS so will play

Hopefully we can redshirt everyone else. Hoak will not be needed unless there are injuries. Snell and Rose should RS unless they want to RS King so one may play. WR everyone should RS besides Ross. TE is three deep. Kobe Smith would've started or been in the two deep but Looney and Cross really need to RS. Daniel could backup Love if Firios is not ready.

They redshirted last season, but I expect both Jabari and Tavin to make a big impact in the passing game. Both come from very successful high school programs. Ross has matured a lot and really wants to be at KY. Elite size, have see about speed and hands. Baker is going to have guys on his heels. He either gets it together or he will be on the bench.
