More importantly, how SHOULD they react?

The game is sold out, so there will be a lot of Crimson there, but what will NU students and fans do?

Is there an NU crowd?

Have you been to any games recently? Student section has been terrific on a number of occasions (especially vs. Illinois). I expect the same intensity versus IU. Would be great if you are able to make some noise. Wear some purple that always helps.

The student section has been good (though not against Rutgers, when it was deserted), but unfortunately the rest of the arena has either been empty or filled with visiting fans. And then there's the Wilson Club, which always features mostly empty seats. I expect a heavily pro-Indiana crowd tomorrow night. Hopefully the students will be there in force to battle the noise.

He’ll get boos to indifference, which seems appropriate.

I don’t expect much of a student crowd, given weeknight, midterms, NERDS, small school, etc., etc. It really is a bummer that there are so few weekend home games.

The students are great when they show up.

There were about 16 students at the Rutgers game. It was pathetic and just one game removed from a packed gym for the Illini.

Great student turnout for Illini. It was a weekend game.
Rutgers was a) Rutgers and b) lotta kids were studying for midterms and c) Tuesday night game

Indiana is not Rutgers and midterms are over, but its another Tuesday night. A lot of these NU students have pretty regimented schedules during the week.

We are favored by 1 point and have a 50.6% chance of winning

I think we’re going to break through tonight and win. Just a feeling that the team won’t want to lose to Kopp and that will carry us through the final minutes.

The students haven't really shown up for any weeknight games. I hope tonight is different. If Kopp gets any playing time, he will be greeted with metaphorical yawns from the NU faithful.

I expect to be there cheering away in the upper deck as usual, with a pack of red shirted yahoos sitting behind me, kicking the back of my seat.

Thanks to Uber, I will be at the game with him and PPD. My goal is to make any IU fan with a 20 ft radius want to never return to WR.

I expect the Wildside to be out in force tonight. Should be a great atmosphere. Wish I could be there.

Kopp will get plenty of playing time. He starts nearly every game (if not all of them) for them. Hasn’t been great for the Hoosiers, but he’s part of their initial group on the floor.

True, but a very telling thing is that, from very early on in the season, his tushy was seating on the bench in the final minutes of (almost) every game.

I was in Colorado for the Penn State game, but otherwise I've been to every home game.

The students really make or break the atmosphere. Other than them and a couple of high profile opponents who have brought their own fans, we've had no problem with social distancing at the games .

Tonight's game should be fun. Go 'Cats!

In conference play, Kopp exited the game for the last time at:

4:11, 6:36, 7:24, 11:07, 7:18, 5:15, 12:41, 11:10, 16:12, 1:35, 11:37, and 10:53.

Upper level seats are much cheaper, and still offer great sight lines. And we even get some t-shirts thrown to us. Close enough to the court that the refs can hear Pile Driver's opinions.

I like the new digs, but they did price me completely out of the seats on the lower level I'd had since the 90s, and that makes me a bit sad.

Is it too late for them to admit the Wilson Club was dumb and take care of longtime STHs?

Yep, it's an interesting rotation Woodson has going there. Not often that you see a starter so consistently not a part of any late game rotation. But you're right, Kopp pretty much is never on the floor late in games.

Should just move the Wilson Club higher up and behind the baskets? Give those seats to people who want to actually watch the game a cheer.

I voted boo.

I am usually supportive of guys who transfer away from NU, but Kopp was 1) really bad for a long stretch last season 2) moped about it and brought the whole team down with him and 3) took the “easy” way out and transferred to an IN CONFERENCE program where he didn’t have to have the pressure of being “the guy.”

Boo.
