He threw for a bowl record 532 yds and five TDs against the weakest pass defense among FBS schools with two interceptions, two overthrown sure touchdowns and a fumble that could have cost the game without an awesome recovery by Cody Clay. I guess he should feel confident. He also did very well against WVU's other non conference opponents in 2015, but struggled against Big 12 opposition.

Let's see what happens in the final Spring scrimmage at the Greenbrier against an inexperienced defensive secondary. Howard will get 80% of the snaps, but will he complete 60% of his passes? I honestly hope so, but I am obviously skeptical.

I think Howard's numbers will be better this year since it will be his 2nd full year as a starter. I think the fact that he will have an experienced O line will help. The experience coming back on the o line should make the running game better and provide him with more time to find the open receiver. The biggest concern in relationship to last year was he was highly inconsistent in the short to mid range passing game. He failed continually to make easy throws and sometimes threw the ball too high when he wasn't even under pressure and the receiver was wide open as is reflected in some of the stats you have provided. I expect him to be statistically better but am skeptical if its within his ability to become a big 12 championship contenting QB

I won't be disappointed if he can simply complete over 60% of his passes and stop trying to be the hero with his two yard runs. Howard is more of a coach than a player, but under Holgorsen no other QB will see the field for meaningful snaps until Skyler is gone. Not even during the so called Spring game.

I see a very good chance Holgorsen and Howard will leave WVU together.

Come on now..............you can't possibly see this happening. Holgs is gonna be the coach at WVU until the rug (money) is pulled from under him. Nobody quits a great paying job until they get a golden parachute to jump with.

My former company made me leave without a parachute. I never forgave them for that! On the other hand.................that's what forced me into the pickle picking business. All is well that ends well.
