I'm with you on this. Some of the **** show here can be quite funny at times, but it is getting out of hand ad nauseam. I check this site every couple days and dont participate in their stupidity.
Yeah, okayMake sure to get those stickers shined up. See NBA ratings, get woke go broke.
Hey, Poca: I have a little bit of unsolicited advice for you: Don't boycott your favorite school/team because of helmet stickers. The sticker nonsense will likely end on 11/4/20, and you don't want to miss your 'eers play in the meantime, as boycotting only hurts you. I watched every single Lakers' game this season--even though I had to hold my nose during the games played in "the bubble"-- because I've been a Purple and Gold fan since 1979. A few misguided athletes aren't going to ruin my enjoyment of sports. You shouldn't let them ruin it for you, either. This too shall pass.
Speak for yourself.
Sports arent enjoyable anymore, so people are finding other things to do with their time.
The administration, coaching staff and players hate anyone who doesn't think like them, so why bother our time with people who hate us?
NBA final ratings were down 51%. Seems like people found other things to do.
Saturday's are better when you dont dedicate it to people who hate everything about you...honestly, life is better without sports, at least for some people.

That's impossible for that *** clown....Speak for yourself.
Ugghh NBA finals ratings were down a lot more than 51%. 1 year ago 18+ million tuned into the nba finals final game. 5.6 million tuned in this year for the final game (which the least watched finals in TV ratings history).. By comparison MJ’s final NBA Finals game with Chicago in 98 drew over 36 million viewers which was for me the last nba game I’ve watched.
My source on those Numbers is from a google search
I only did it cause I remember a headline or article from USA Today (maybe) that was talking about NBA ratings being lower than pro rasslin, Tucker Carlson, and ufc ppv buys on a recent card.
Yet, you come here an spew your words on a SPORTS MESSAGE BOARD. Hmmm, not important?
That's impossible for that *** clown....
and what does posting on a message board have to do with not watching wvu football anymore? Two totally different things...
Are those ratings ( last year)US based or worldwide....only reason I ask is , the ratings up here were off charts purely because of The Raptors.... literally half a country of 36 mil tuned in....FWIW I have no need for the NBA period....I would rather a good college game anyday over that junk.Ugghh NBA finals ratings were down a lot more than 51%. 1 year ago 18+ million tuned into the nba finals final game. 5.6 million tuned in this year for the final game (which the least watched finals in TV ratings history).. Yup, you and I same page on baseball too.Forget my text then maybe they were just USA Nielsen cause while traveling I’ve read a few newspapers headlines on how the nba was really an unmatched season by comparison of years past.
I think baseball has suffered too. I quit watching there after the strike shortened season of 94.
As per this OP did ticket sales suffer today? I honestly have no idea, but it seemed there were fans in the stands. Did they sell out on the 25% allotment? Also, it was Kansas, but still after the dirth of live football, I imagine they sold out no?Make sure to get those stickers shined up. See NBA ratings, get woke go broke.

Announced attendance was a little over 10,000. Yeah, I know it was Kansas but dont think for a minute all the sj warrioring didn't effect the numbers. As per this OP did ticket sales suffer today? I had a ticket to last week's game through a coach and didn't go because of the sticker...so don't assume.$80/ticket
Playing Kansas during a screwed up year
Having to wear a mask
Yeah, must have been the stickers on the helmets.

The coach gave them to my best friend, who he also knows....we decided not to go....what part of that don't you get dumbass? We didn't ask for them, he just gave them to my friend because he wasn't using them.:joy: Sure. You want me to believe that you had not communicated your displeasure to that "coach" and he sent the ticket to you anyways?
EDIT: So explain then in normal years, without all these "stickers", when we would sell 50,000 tickets to a game against Coastal Carolina, what was the excuse/reason then?

To be fair, the decline of NBA ratings and sports viewership isn't just because of the politics and social justice nonsense.
There are just too many options for people. Back when you had 3 - 6 channels watching a game was a no-brainer. Now you have 100's of channels, Netflix, Youtube, ect.
The social justice crap just gives people another nudge to walk away. The NBA was just a living breathing billboard for the Democrats this season. It wasnt even about basketball - it was a campaign.
ESPN hasn't helped. The network is insufferable. Just like MTV, they've outgrown their necessity and repackaged themselves into something no one wanted or asked for.

Why exactly would I make that up? To get into a disagreement with your dumbass?
To be fair, most people stopped watching NBA because the game has changed so much that it isn't enjoyable. It's not the same game. Not only on the floor but the way it is presented, the players interaction and what they are trying to push on the viewing public. If it were just the game changing it would be slightly palatable. Now it's players being full of themselves. Not only the way they present themselves to the fan base, but to their teammates and owners.
Very classy....be proud of this post.So then, you are admitting that you and your lesbian lover friend are a couple pu$$ies and won't tell the coach that you are protesting the large stickers on the helmets? Got it. :joy:
Very classy....be proud of this post.
If you want to be a complete dumbass and think that the stickers aren't an issue for a lot of people, then think whatever you want to believe.
Sighs...I never said they didn't sell out the Kansas game because of stickers...show me where I did...I said people still weren't supporting the team because of them...and I am one of those people.Tell the coach then, please. And for those that the mighty sticker matters, there are others ready to take those tickets.
If you honestly think the reason they didn't sellout the allotted tickets was due to the stickers, you have some serious mental problems. Again, most people aren't going to spend $80 to go watch a game against Kansas early in the year. If it were in late November and WVU was playing for a playoff spot or Big 12 title shot, then they would.
Sighs...I never said they didn't sell out the Kansas game because of stickers...show me where I did...I said people still weren't supporting the team because of them...and I am one of those people.
It's hard to argue with someone when they don't even have 99 percent of their **** right...
I had a ticket to last week's game through a coach and didn't go because of the sticker...so don't assume.
Thanks for proving my point...I never said it....never said the Kansas game didn't sell out because of blm stickers...You said you didn't go because of the sticker. You told me not to assume that wasn't why others did either.
Then quit watching and posting here.
People have stopped watching a lot of sports for NON-protest reasons.
1. Football = first it was the concussion debate and helmet contact. Then it was "what's a catch" and spending 10 minutes to review each catch.
2. Baseball = the 90's strike.....ahh, long time ago, but it still affects some. Also, I love baseball. That's what I made a career of. But the game is so much different now. Strikeouts and HR's. No in-between. No sac bunting. No stolen bases.
3. Basketball = kind of the same as above, the game has changed too much. Teams can't shoot anymore. It's all about the dunks and the 3-pointers. Defense? This younger generation don't care about defense.
