Thrilled with a W, but the B1G is a gauntlet. If NU plays well they can compete, but it’s still uphill to be 500, 4 of the next 5 are against ranked teams and Indiana is close to ranked. Have to feel good for these guys who played hard and got over the hump. Hopefully, we get a few more like this before the end of the season.
After failing to close out so many leads, this type of thing can help them understand what it takes to run through such a gauntlet with some success. They earned this with their play snd their effort. It could serve them well even if they don’t finish at .500 in this league.
Totally agree. We have good talent. We just needed to learn how to play 40 minutes and finish an opponent off with confidence. The Cats took a good step in that direction tonight.
He's talented enough to draw the double team when he drives with the ball, and he needs to be smart enough to realize the importance of looking to pass to an open shooter in those moments.
