Pretty sure that Farrington Huguenin got his first career sack tonight. Congrats big guy!

He was active tonight. It seems Hatcher being back has opened up other areas of the defense. Meant, Elam, Johnson and Ware were all more active. And the linebackers, I thought they all tackled well tonight.

Guys, all good points but it was Charlotte. They're beyond awful. Everyone looked 'better', 'more active', etc. because of the competition. This game did not give us anything to build upon, IMO. Just running roughshod over a clearly inferior opponent.

I know where you're coming from but any improvement in tackling is a positive no matter who you play

UK had a chance to play a lot of young players, that's always a positive.

This game was a huge building piece. First off, Kentucky gained some confidence back. It might not have been against an amazing opponent, but getting the loss monkey off of their back is huge. On top of that, our defense has looked pretty good the last two games. Vanderbilt couldn't move the ball at all against us and pretty much everything they scored last week was due to the offense giving up terrible field position or the touchdown themselves. So, it wasn't just against Charlotte. Now they have some more confidence going into a game against Louisville.
