While I’m not going to go that far, I don’t think I’ll ever understand why Johnson was so quickly and permanently banished to the bench while Marty got a seemingly inexplicable number of opportunities.
Marty was uniformly terrible in every game an opponent could prepare for him.
But he never looked as bad (except for today) as HuJo did in that half against Duke.
It doesn’t matter at all, but I wish Hunter had gotten another chance. While I guess the staff is planning for Hilinski as the guy and gave him the rest of the reps today, I truly hope everyone in the QB room gets a chance to win the job next year.
Best stretch of QB play all year was Hunter against MSU.

This is a recurring theme, our best QB is the guy who hasn’t been on the field the longest. The fact is we do not have a coach that can develop a QB on the roster or not.
