Seems like they might not take a hard hit like Laura while back, but from that I wonder how has severe weather in KY the last two years disappeared but the overall weather patter across the world have devastated lots of place in the last several years. There's no doubt we get little more rain yearly here in south central Ky but the majority of the US has the **** weather months and we've not seen a severe weather outbreak all year or even a lightning strike in 4 or 5 months here.
I always loved KY weather so was wondering if its noticeable to anyone else in the bluegrass that we've hit a lull in the severe season in this state for atleast a couple years if not more. You don't really see much about states climate and were due cause most everyone else is been hammered.

Not up here in the Northeast*. It's blizzards and snow storms which are more fun and/or annoying than devastating and deadly. We have issues, but weather isn't really one of them.

*Hurricane Sandy and Irene, aside.
