My daughter had lunch and dinner with John Chambers this year and also attended the hyper loop public discussion. It's pretty cool...personally, I never thought it would become real. A lot of this is going through the Innovation Center (Encova). If you have an idea that could actually work, the center has millions to help you get it up and running. If you want to move a business to WV...they will help with that also.
Is this thing legit? The hyperloop idea? I can't take it too serious talking about traveling through a tube at 600 mph. Seems a little too sci-fi for me right now.
This is really cool for the state and those who live there who truly embrace these investments for the future....
With that said, a lot of you fukers will want to start planning to move to South Dakota, because if this works, WV will be infested with techi, lib tree huggers driving these projects.....WVA will be back to being blue in 10-years....

I heard about this a while back. It's not only the Hyperloop facility that is going to go in. There's other major investments that will eventually be announced as well.
In terms of the Hyperloop tech.... we'll see. IMHO mag lev is a better route, as Hyperloops apparently relay on maintaining a vacuum for vehicles to ride in.

Hypeloops use "vacuum" technology but also uses linear induction motors. It uses both.
