(Hypothetical) If we were to fall to the NIT...

We would surely be one of the last four out and would be given a top seed. The announcers just said that renovations in W-R begin tomorrow.

Where would we play our home games? Or would we give up our right to host and have to play on the road?

sorry about the over the top reply but thought you were someone else. still why even post something like the nit just when we're ready to go 'dancing'?

To the extent there's an "eye test" we're passing with flying colors in the first half. We can win this game and make your question moot beyond argument.

I'm a Purdue fan, and this NIT talk is just crazy. You have a very good team that will be dancing regardless of today's outcome

It seems to me an interesting question but my sense is that the answer is obvious. I'd imagine that whatever contract we signed for the construction has a clause delaying things if we would up in the NIT. Sometimes the simple answer is the right one.

Illinois played the 8-seed, Stony Brook, on the road when they were renovating the former Assembly Hall.

On the intro though they did say the wrecking balls were coming in tomorrow. We do still have a Patten Gym though.

In the spirit of NU angst, I will respond to this to keep the NIT thread moving.

It would be easier to win the BTT than the NIT.
