This represents everything I grew up loving about Kentucky basketball. Pope is the anti-Cal. We have a guy who gets it. This is a historic day in the history of the program. I could not be more excited.

Oh yeah, full on boo hoo over here. Just to hear the passion after last half a decade is so cathartic.
There will be studies published on the psychological and emotional damage the Calipari regime has inflicted on this fanbase. Fascinating. Feels like finally breaking up after an extended toxic marriage.

I got goose bumps when the former players were getting off the bus.
I tried to make it into Rupp and got there too late so I left and made it back home just in time to see the beginning. Right away I started tearing up and I was waiting for my wife to ask me what was wrong.
The clown never understood that UK tradition and winning is everything to our fans and Alumni. He never understood we never gave a rats arse about draft picks and NBA. The greatest day in UK history is the day Cal left for Arkansas

Wasn’t the speech for me. It was seeing his family and daughters realization moment in the early intro of what this is and how huge an accomplishment and legacy their Father has already and continuing to attempt to build further.
As men, and ppl in general, we often want to be respected and know we are appreciated by those we love more than anything…and kids can often not see the fruit of all the sacrifices that their parents make….you could see how proud they were in that moment of their dad/husband….thats what got me
