Chick-fil-A created a burgeoning market for chicken sammiches. Several years ago, Popeyes and many others created new chicken sammiches to compete, yet PSU did nothing. Seriously, what is going on in University Park? For f*ck‘s sake.
Apparently, they have not filled the "Executive Vice President for Delicous Poultry Meats between Yeast Enfused Carbohydrate Serving Mechanisms" as of yet.

I am sure they are doing a national search.

I just looked up the average starting salary for Penn State Graduates and I was stunned. It's probably similar at other colleges but all I can say is WOW! It obviously depends on your major but Anthropology, Rhetoric and Composition, Family Studies, and Music majors should be illegal.

Salaries by Major at Penn State Main Campus

How much money do Penn State Main Campus graduates make and which majors earn the most upon graduating? Six years after enrolling, alumni who are working have average earnings of $41,900 per year. After ten years, graduates earn $55,300 on average.

So it costs more to attend a year at UP now than you will make in six years.

I would think those salaries are very dependent on the location. They would be low compared to what I have seen here in MD. Of course, many of the jobs here are government related and thus a little inflated with a high cost of living.

I do agree though that there is just not the ROI for some majors if you are graduating from PSU or a lot of other places

Isn't this covered by the Chik-Fil-A in the HUB?

Chick-fil-A covers the need for the Chicken Cosmo?

How about Anthropology! I can dig it man, I can dig it.
About 20 years ago I was teaching in Baltimore City and my new co-teacher for Algebra 1 classes was an anthropology major. Couldn't get a job in the field to survive and we will take anyone who can breathe to teach in the city. Lets just say she wasn't quite prepared for the kids or the math.

Newsflash: If you want to feel good about Penn State, don’t come here.

😞
So when I was a wee lad, my Dad the PSU booster (honorary coach) would take me to PSU games. In front of us in WC, there was always this old guy with an old hat on (ya know the one with the little red feather on the side) and a wire to his ear yelling at Joe Paterno and drinking from a small bottle. During one game when I was five or six, I asked my Dad why is the man was so upset? He replied something like 'he just gets excited about the game." I then asked me why does the guy hate the Nittany Lions? My Dad said 'because he's the biggest fan of Penn State and wants them to do well every time."

That my friend is a PA sports fan of the Nittany Lions. Or, at least it was a common PSU fan. I'll never forget that guy. Joe was seemingly always wrong yet there that 'fan' was, rain or shine, snow and sleet, 'cheering' on the Nittany Lions.

Rhetoric a good major for law school. Friend of mine did that at Berkeley and did law school at night for two years at American before finishing up at Michigan. She had an offer from a big firm before she ever took one class at UM - but, they name means a lot.

This a comparison against all 4 year colleges everywhere?
