I don’t really follow the NBA, but seeing the Lakers get eliminated from the playoffs is satisfying.

Enough of the lebron/luka horse-a$$, at least for this season. What will espn talk about now?

I liked the Lakers when I lived in SoCal in the ‘80s. Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Rambis, etc. That was fun. Not a fan of the current Lakers team.

They needed Bronny in the line up - Lebron is ruining that team - thankfully.

I am a life long Lakers fan, but totally numb to this latest loss, as lebron sucks all the fun out of it. If only had traded him vs AD for Luca.
Last 3 play off series losses they are 2-12. He is the GOAT🤮

I do wonder if the NBA will see an improvement in its ratings once LeBron is out of the picture. I think a lot of folks are tired of his act. And everything about him is an act. If you feel that way about him as a Lakers fan, imagine how the remainder of the NBA fanbase feels having LeBron as the face of the league for so many years.

Honestly Bob, the last time I followed professional basketball Jerry West was on the Lakers team.
Those were great times & Great matchups with New York and Boston, loved those years.

I watched the ice hawkey playoffs on espn last night and still had the TV set to espn this morning. In talking about the Lakers this morning, they made a big issue of luka’s conditioning. Apparently, he’s a fat slob. They said he’s 26 years old with a 40-year-old body due to nearly 10 years in the league and poor conditioning. Of course, they said that lebron is 40 with a 26-year-old’s body. They offered no criticism of lebron.

I think Luka played 37.5 minutes per game on average last year. He knows chicks dig the dad bod . He was playing over 41 minutes a game cause Reddick didn't trust his bench. As a result, his defense blew, as in blew by him.

LeBron is in great shape. It is also rumored that LeBron is being aided by performance-enhancing drugs, and the NBA is looking the other way about it.

TV ratings don't improve when you lose the best player that's the face of the league. A lot of folks might be "tired of his act", but there sure are a lot of people watching beyond them.

Holy smokes! Never did I think the Knicks could win 3… could they possibly do this.
Celts failures to play better D in 4th quarter in 3 losses is tragic. JT may not return until 2026-27 season.

Also clear to me that Luka trade was part of deal to get a big star to LA to replace lebron and in return Mavs get Flagg and Davis. NBA has been fixing things like this all the way back to stacking celts and Lakers in early 80s to save the league

If they could have hit two more open threes in each game in Boston, they’d be up 3-1. Wide open threes, nada.

The Knicks/Celtics playoff series in the 70’s were the best ever. Glad I got to see them as a youngster. I don’t have the same passion anymore
