Shane was pretty openly critical of the refs after the game yesterday. Since it was a non-conference game with refs from a neutral conference, I guess there's nobody to penalize you.
I literally would have said "Congratulations to ND and the officiating crew on their win." - And left it at that. It was that blatant. We stopped them in the first half with 1:30 left and returned their punt inside their own 40 and were getting ready to blow the game wide open....... by the time the refs got done screwing us we were starting on our own 20.Shane was pretty openly critical of the refs after the game yesterday. Not to be forgotten. That was a massive game swing.I literally would have said "Congratulations to ND and the officiating crew on their win." - And left it at that. It was that blatant. The first one was a good call. The 2nd one was piss poor.I literally would have said "Congratulations to ND and the officiating crew on their win." - And left it at that. It was that blatant. Agreed. No issues with the first call. The 2nd call was refs deliberately inserting themselves into the game to save ND's lilly green arses and they knew it.The first one was a good call. The 2nd one was piss poor.
Disagree, he didn't hit him. That happens all the time without a call. The first one was a good call. The 2nd one was piss poor.
Sorry, it's a clearly defined rule. Irrelevant if it happens all the time w/o a call. That said, I have seen it called a good many times this year including tonight.Disagree, he didn't hit him. That happens all the time without a call.
There was nothing remotely "forcible" about the contact made.Sorry, it's a clearly defined rule. Irrelevant if it happens all the time w/o a call. That said, I have seen it called a good many times this year including tonight.
Exactly. The rule specifies "attacking...with forcible contact."There was nothing remotely "forcible" about the contact made.
