and my boss isn't on the call and I get grilled about something she thinks that I don't agree with her on. At least once I just said she's my boss and I have to do what she says they said fair enough and dropped it.

What actually happened: you said she's the boss......for now......and the rest said 'that's fair, a worthy victim (whispered)' and dropped it knowing you would take care of the 'problem'.

Glen- Have you dropped your rule of not looking female colleagues in the eye now that you are working remotely?

Heres some music while you wait.

I'm a NMA fan an all but I'm into this video most. Not the prettiest, but I'm sure nothing is off the table. Right over the plate for me.

And on topic, I'll shove it down their throats for fun. You wouldn't want your people laying it off on you. Ain't nothing but a job.

Glenn, you could have put one over the fence by saying, “by damn, she should have the right, the respect, to personally defend her/this position when she is in the meeting, personally. And I won’t participate in making a Roman Holiday of her thinking, until she is present to defend it!!!”

Serious question is what do I say? I can't defend something I don't think is correct and she never did tell me her objection to the problem.
I have stated my “opinion” about a policy or directive same as you or others... I don’t live in a glass house...
But I don’t think I’m wrong saying, it can be a poor play on anyone’s part to challenge the boss/system/the man;) etc. Yeah that asked what you thought and felt it gave you some freedom and she wasn’t there... Had she been there would you have challenged her in front of a Zoom call in front of all? Think “team player” Glen and all that neat **** that gets tossed out... But perhaps some might say... “hummm that Glen guy has a point”... and you bust a move to Corporate... Naaaaaa
