I'm still fine with Lamont. I don't really fault him for the total mess the team is in. This roster is abysmal. I knew we'd be bad but could never have imagined we'd be THIS bad. As others have noted, there are high school teams that could be this squad.

Just have to accept that this is a throwaway year. On the plus side, it's not possible for us to be worse next year, so there's bound to be signs of improvement.

I still say that 1998-99 team is the worst Gamecock squad I've seen. Without Mckie they'd been 0 for the SEC that year and might've won 2 games total. Even with him they still could only manage 3 wins in the SEC that I still don't know how they got them and 8 wins for the season total. And some of the losses: 86-57 to Tennessee, 76-48 to Auburn, 80-56 to Georgia, 74-40 to Kentucky, and of course the "Syracuse Massacre" 84-37.

Now I know some of those teams were among the best in the country, but aside from BJ, no one else on that team played with any pride.

That team was so bad it's permanently burned into my mind.
