about the national championship positive or negative. No congrats, no comments about the refs giving us the ball game. Nothing. The game is not even being mentioned. These people I have seen the last few days are die-hard UNC fans. Most of the time after a Duke win they are whining about something. Nothing. Usually on social media like face book they are very negative active after a Duke game win or lose. What are any of you experiencing with your Tar Heel/friends ? OFC

Strange, but my UNC friends have not said a word either. My brother-in-law is a HUGE UNC fan. Not a word from him.

I had a coworker run his mouth before the final four... now he barely makes eye contact and only said good morning.

The silence is due 100% to scandal-related issues. You guys are right. Normally , they'd whine....especially about the officiating. Kinda hard to get worked up over what the refs do in a single game when their entire athletic department has been exposed as a cesspool of corruption. Thank you , Marvin Austin.

I've only had one say anything negative and he said "Winslow touches the ball and that won the game, it was a 6 point swing" to which I responded I don't believe he touched it and that's the truth the ball did t change direction at all and 2nd I said we were already up 5 it wasn't like it was a tie game and that happened! The rest if the ones I talked too seemed okay with it and said they were glad at least the ACC won

What can a UNC fan possibly say except " Dazed and Confused and Woe Is Me while thinking about what Duke has accomplished. They just cannot get over the shock.

For the most part my friends that actually graduated from or attended UNC have offered congratulations. The Walmart fans and the ones that do not even know how to get to Chapel Hill have basically said nothing, which is actually a good thing. OFC

They have been quiet but one tried to play the "nice that Duke has same amount of titles now". Replied "I am sure you enjoyed that 1957 title, I've actually been alive and watched all five of Duke's titles".

I live in Raleigh, most NC State fans are very nice and have told me congratulations. I would say only about 5% of the Tar Heels I know have told me congrats. I was at Crabtree Valley Mall yesterday and I went into a store called Alumni Hall to look for Duke gear and they had nothing. The guy at the register told me they stopped selling Duke gear about a year ago. I just keep thinking to myself don't you people know how to capitalize on a business opportunity. They want to be a NC State only merchandise store, not a great business model.

I live in Kentucky and I can't tell you how quiet it is here. So nice to no longer hear all the 40-0 and #notdone crap.

We have employee appreciation day at my company in a couple of weeks and I have National Championship gear on the way I am going to wear. There are some hard core UNC Fan/Duke haters in this building. We always have lunch that day in this big ball room beside our main building and when I walk through I am going to look them dead in the face with a **** eating grin like I am effin royalty.

Well, they played the Lehigh and Mercer quite a bit before the tournament started. Then when we got to the second weekend we wouldn't beat Gonzaga. After advancing to the Final Four it didn't really mean anything unless we won the whole damn thing. Then we did that and were assisted by the refs. Since then it's been pretty quiet....and might I add, quite enjoyable.

That's one of the stores that my sister went to when I asked her to pick me up a Championship shirt and hat while she was at the mall shopping Friday night. She told me that the store that was working when she was there told her that they were closing and were hoping to move closer to the NC State Campus. So she ended up going to a store called Pro Sports that's also going out of business and as of Saturday everything there was on sale for 50% off.

Don't forget the "they can't beat the same team twice."

We beat UNC twice.
We beat MSU twice.
We beat Wisconsin twice.

Thanks for playing.

I try not to rub it into my tarhole fans/friends. The shoe may be on the other foot next year. Actually most have been ok with it , but mine are mostly older friends. I have no illusions about next years team being as good as this one.

Should we take this with a grain of salt?
