I knew the outcome, but I still watched it

My only real cognitive thought after that is I wished we had gone for two after we tied the game with thirty seconds to go. I was screaming at the TV. It was obvious Oregon had the better qb and OT was going to be tough to keep up. Why not try and end this curse on one play?

The whole time as we crawled back into the game, I knew we weren’t going to win and that it would be a dagger to the heart. Are we cursed? This is bizarre at this point.

I do not expect PSU to win these games, so I thought about going out tonight to do anything but be near a TV. Of course, I stayed home and watched the f*cking game. Got the outcome that I expected.

Likewise. My wife asked why I do this.... lol....

My answer, "well honey, there are only 12 games a year, so you have to watch them..."

Thank God for PSU Wrestling.

My question was why we didn’t go for 2 after the first TD. Perfect spot for it, and I thought coach Franklin has embraced analytics enough that he knew that.

I was thinking about the fake field goal back in the late 90's in the snowball game with Michigan. Joe Nastasi runs it in for 6 instead of 3.

These games are like the hot broad that is flirty but you know she's a giant cock tease. Penn State is a giant tease. This program has no clue how to win big games anymore. 24-17. Just get us one more stop. No. And then we can't expect drew to continue to make big plays. The bone head interception is right around the corner.

Hot broads tell me to go f*ck myself. So does PSU Football.

I have traditionally been a Franklin apologist, but it feels like we’re getting close to the point where you have to try something else. This is insanity at this point. Why are we putting everyone through this.

Kotelnicky sucks. His gimics and gadgets destroy drives and he has little feel for the game. We finally got the running game going in the fourth + OT then he rolls out a first down pass for Allar to throw the game away. All these guys have the losing big games stained all over them at this point. It’s now the culture.

The thinking is at home with the momentum you kick the extra point and go to OT 99% of the time. With that being said, I had the exact same thought you did. Oregon was clearly the better team and going for 2 there might be our only chance to steal it barring a miracle turnover.

It's interesting how many of us fans is disparate places had the thought of going for two in that moment, but apparently Franklin in his presser stated they never even had that thought.

I'll never fault a coach for going for 2 in that situation. You're trying to win the game on your terms. That said, I preferred the OT route and thought they could continue the wave, which they did on their first possession. I was somewhat surprised Lanning didn't go for 2 when they scored in the first OT since he's such a gambler.

I would have gone for 2 at the end of regulation. The defense was gassed as our offense was inept for more than 3 quarters. It was unrealistic to believe the D could hold up in OT.

I get the sense they used one of their best 2pt plays to score the touchdown. That being said, I was also begging them to go for two.

You have seen the light.
You have seen the light.
He is not going anywhere. The buyout is way too large. He has 4-5 seasons left. Pat Krafty is sitting there today shaking his head at that contract.

111,000 fans screaming for you a RS sophmore QB versus a defense stacked with talent, the $3 million golden DC and we can't stop them in OT and just don't let them get in the endzone. I just checked and Dante Moore just completed another 7 yard quick pass. Unbelievable. With all that though we know the real problem is the offense and Allar.

This year now the best we can do is a 10, 11 or 12 seed and as predictable as the sun rises a road first round playoff
loss by big game James. The next couple years or next 3 or 4 could be a succession of 9-3 and 8-4 seasons and then Franklin will finally be relieved of his duties.

The problem is Allar does not fit with AK's offense. The only real success was him running. We did have the 35 yard TD pass but anyone watching that game witnessed a putrid offense for 3 quarters and that lost the game. Pathetic.

Preferred not going for two if we didn’t need to - keeping it close and giving yourself a chance to win was key. This though? Ugh.
