Already beginning to see an implication of having an older, more mature coordinator.
It does worry me a bit that somebody called one of our coaches "bro". Makes me think the culture (especially under offense) was soft under Dawson. That's my take anyhow...
From all the video and comments Gran has made since he's gotten here, he just comes across as a consummate professional. A guy who has a plan for everything he does and reasons to back them up. I don't know how he's going to work out here, but I really want him to have success.
Dawson always seemed a little loosey goosey like Mumme was, just flying by the seat of their pants. It worked for Mumme though, Dawson not so much.

Gran has a ton of coaching experience. These boys will not run him are they will not play. If these guys are cocky I do not know what about 5 7 sucks.
If Stoops leaves UK (for whatever reason), Gran is a guy who should get very strong consideration for the head coaching position, IMHO. As you stated, he is a professional who seems to have a plan for everything. Not to mention that he has a very impressive resume which includes "Associate Head Coach" @ FSU.
He gonna walk down to Electric Avenue, and then he'll take it higher.
If previous coaches and coordinators were "bros" with the players, that's a big, big problem. I'm glad Gran is a freakin' adult.
I think this kinda tells me how laid back the offense was last year when a bit of discipline was needed. Sounds like Gran will be a no nonsense kinda coach which I believe some of these guys might need.
You have to treat everybody the same. It is apparent Dawson could not do that. He wanted to have buddies to gossip about how mean Mark is. Gran will treat them all equally like crap if they dont run his offense the way he expects.

I just kind of imagine no one would get anywhere in football with that attitude... but really, that type of employee is everywhere, and I guess they're gonna sneak into all kinds of positions.

If I had to guess, id guess its a RB. Im willing to bet money that Scott/Brown/Dawson were waaaayyyyy too chummy with these guys. Coach, not friend.

I hate to be that guy, but I have been reading post made by you for sometime now on here and you make the same mistake every time and I finally had to say something. The word you are looking for is "or" not are.
