It doesn't seem that bad on here to me. I think a lot of us just have some very reasonable concerns. Not many think the sky if falling yet but there are some legit questions. None of our returners look like they improved much in the off season. Shooting has been abysmal in 2 of 3 games (if you count the blue/white game) and we still haven't cleansed the injury curse. We are a very good team but I'm not sure we are as deep as we thought. Yes, it's just an exhibition. Yes, it's very early. But we can only judge a team by what we see right now. And right now we have a ton of work to do. Can we improve? Absolutely. Will we? Well that's the looming question. I think we will but nothing is ever certain.

Last night was a failure on many levels. I can forgive the clunky offense with both point guards out. That is to be expected. We can do without one or the other, but not without both.

What is harder to forgive was the defense by four guys (Oweh, Chandler, Garrison, and Noah) who all returned from a team that got cooked on defense all season long. Two of those guys — Chandler and Oweh — have been billed as great defenders. They were embarrased by Georgetown’s guards all night. The sky isn’t falling, but it’s hard to be positive after that effort. I turned the game off about 5 minutes into the second half when it became apparent the Cats just had no energy and no answers, so I didn’t see the alleged smiling and laughing from certain players. But if that’s true, that’s rather discouraging as well.

Ok, team we failed at practice. The season is over. We went from number one to last in one practice. Abject and utter failure at 0 - 0.

''we failed at practice"

now, that is some good stuff right there.... if only, if only regular season games mattered on NCAAT games... but damn. What can you do, when you have a bad practice? season is over

I’d rather see the team learn a valuable lesson now than later when the games actually count.
