Love that post! I think this recruiting class can be a real special one (and we technically might not be done with it yet)! I am still all in on the team this year, but it's hard not to just take a small peak at next year and man if everything works out we have the chance to be loaded!

I am loving the heart and passion of this year's team but I as well am really looking forward to next year! Giles will be a beast and Tatum is already one of my favorites!

We sure could use Giles right now. I think he's that good!
On another note, the college basketball world better enjoy there W's over Duke now, because they will be few and far between next year. I only have 2 questions...
1. Does Grayson come back??? If he does, than I believe no question we have the #1 offense in the country.
2. Do we get a center??? Bolden would be IDEAL (it's us or UK). All indications are Giles wants to play 4. He could play some 5, but not a full game. We can't have another Jabari situation where an elite team is at a disadvantage due to no true "5".

Something keeps making me think Frank running the point will be the key to winning the national championship but that's all opinion.

I believe if Grayson is gone, than at some point in the season we start DT and Frank. A'la 2015 with Tyus and Quinn.
However, regardless if Grayson is back or not, I think we use many different starting lineups next year.

Grayson coming back = top 2; bolden committing = preseason number 1; Calipari will have his usual 7 big men and two quality guards, which worked out well against Wisconsin last year

I think we are preseason top 3 next year regardless of Bolden and Grayson. However, we are #1 if we get Bolden or Grayson stays (I think he leaves though.)

The bigger question is....would you rather have a freshman Harry Giles or a sophomore LUKE MAYE???

I just hope we continue to act classy and band together if and when we have a real "down season". You know the irrational Duke hate will be very intense when that day comes. One thing is for sure: it's not happening anytime soon. Meanwhile, Coach K is swimming laps and drinking brain booster smoothies. I hope he coaches to 100.

The 17 class could be just as good as 16; early to say but Duke looks good with carter, Trent, and Bamba

Jayson, Jackson, and Giles may be a better combo than Williams, Dunleavy, and Boozer or Jones, Winslow, and Okafor. Whenever Duke has a stronger player at all three level they win titles. But if you add Kennard, Jeter, Jefferson, Jones, and DT to the first combination how do you beat that. Not to mention the chance of adding Grayson and maybe Bolden. The whole team will be comprised of McDonald's All-Americans except for DT, who would have been one if he didn't reclassify. Delaurier and Jack White will be great candidates to redshirt whom both of which I like a lot. They both look like elite athletes.

I hope you are using the word "May" very loosely.
Williams, Dunleavy, and Boozer = One of the best college basketball players EVER, and 2 guys that started on NBA teams for 12+ years, JWill would also be a longtime NBA starter. Not to mention, should have won TWO national titles if not for the ref choking on his whistle in the IU 02 game.

And I am not ready to announce ANY class as good as Tyus, Justise, Jahlil until we see the results on the court. Numbers or facts don't even do this class justice (no pun intended).

All indiactions point to Harry and Jayson being top 3 NBA picks, so obviously they are Uber-talented. But I am not ready to put Frank in the "Jay or Tyus" class yet. Sure, Frank seems to be dunking on everyone in High School, but remember, he is playing high school ball in Utah, not many elite athletes out there. Remember when Semi averaged like 45 a game in Kansas?? Yea, it was in Kansas.
So, while I do believe Frank will be an incredible Blue Devil, lets hold off on comparing him to Tyus Stones.

I've operated the whole season assuming this would be the last we would see Grayson in a Duke uniform. He may have the biggest scoring jump in consecutive years in NCAA history. I'd love to see him come back, but if he was sniffing the first round last year, I'd think he would definitely be in this year, and that seems hard to pass up.

I think this recruiting class can be a real special one (and we technically might not be done with it yet)!

Not just waiting on the obvious target (Bolden), but also potentially on Jack White, an Austrailian wing player who visited Duke for the FSU game. I don't know if White will get an offer, but just the visit to Duke tells me there's mutual interest. And I'm sure he'd commit if offered.

Gonna give Javin DeLaurier some love as well. He's going to be the next Matt Jones/Amile Jefferson type of player in this program. Not necessarily the star, but the type of three or four year guy/role player every championship caliber team needs.

Jack has an offer. We have a thread in him

IMO Jeter will be pretty good next year. We have to remember that he is only 18 years old and just the simple fact of being one year older will make a huge difference physically

I agree that he will be pretty good next year. But this team should be National Championship favorites. Having a pretty good backup center would only make us that much stronger.

IMO, the more we can hit Frank on cuts and spot ups, the better. He probably will spell Derryck at the 1 though. I honestly think Luke could be a serviceable point in the Jon Scheyer mold.

I feel like Bolden coming to Duke would also ease Harry's transition into the college game as he recovers from his ACL injury. Early on you might see a mix of Jeter with Bolden or even Tatum at the four for stretches with Bolden to open up driving lanes. However, if he just wants to follow in the footsteps of Daniel Orton, Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee, and Skal at UK, he has that right
