And not just because Wesson is out. I thought the offense looked the best it has this conference season the second half against Illinois (not that Illinois is a top of conference team), with Taylor and Kopp looking confident and the ball handlers getting some penetration. With Greer and Kopp both finding their place and Nance available for some minutes, it is the deepest rotation the Cats have enjoyed, playing a team that is short handed.
This is the first game since the first Illinois game I expect the Cats come out on top.

You didn’t expect us to beat PSU or Rutgers at home...? I sense some selective memory.

It’s another home coin flip, yet we’ve lost a succession of these in a row. If I had to guess, we dig another 10 pt hole early, stabilize temporarily then bottom out at about 15 pt deficit before a small run into half to close to high single digits. Play them “tough” with good fight in the second half, get it back to a 1 possession game momentarily on a couple occasions, but can’t quite break through and we end up losing by 5-8. Sounds familiar.

Hope I’m wrong. Would like to send Vic and Dererk out on a positive note they were both great players for us!

Actually, I did not have expect the Cats to win either of those games; I thought they were coin flips. I posted early (after the first Illini game) that I thought the season was about to spiral downward based on what I was seeing at that point.

Not feeling good about this one. 10 losses in a row just messes with your psyche, and OSU might be a bubble team if we beat them solidly, Unfortunately, see this going a lot like Minny game, just because OSU has so much to play for. Hope I'm wrong...

Chis Collins has never lost more than 10 B1G games in a row.

Just sayin'.

I admire your confidence! I really do hope for Vic and DP that I am wrong, but not being able to win either of the last two when they had a lot going in their favor convinced me that they will lose out like last year.

I think they figured out a few things against the Illini (finally). I really expect them to come out with some confidence, and I also expect OSU to be a little out of synch.

I think it went the way I expected! That is a first.

Both PSU and Rutgers had improved quite a bit to when we played them Was concerned about both and we were not playing well. IL at IL looked like a bad matchup
