Manchin is folding on both HB1 and the filibuster. If this is passed, democrats will finally get what they have always wanted which is doing away with elections. This will leave us only two choices. Repubs can't seem to handle free and fair elections as witnessed by the most recent election and the ongoing disinformation campaign by state and Fed Repubs. The Repub state legislatures are passing voter restriction laws based on a false narrative of (lack of) election integrity and congressional Repubs keep spewing the same Trump election lies that gave us January 6th. Repubs need to stop lying about the election (Trump lost and it wasn't close) unless they are just trying to destroy our democracy. Repubs should try getting more votes than their opponent instead of passing voting laws which try to rig elections going forward.

I received a flyer in the mail this week to call your Senator and tell them to support HR1. I called Manchin's office in opposition. His aide told me that he has already come out against HR1...I replied that being against and voting against are two different things. I promised that if he did vote for it, I would max out my contributions to his opponent and volunteer 20 hours a week for his opponent.
