I was ok with Beamer's explanation of the Stewart penalty

Conceded that it was an unacceptably stupid penalty and said that both Dylan and Dylan's mom were embarrassed and felt horribly about it. He said Stewart was absolutely held accountable and punished for it but that they weren't going to throw him to the wolves over it. Seems it was handled the right way. He's an 18 year old true freshman. You can't brush it under the rug as no big deal, but it's not worth tarring and feathering him for it. Punish him, use it as a teaching moment and move on.

I would have benched him in the game, especially after he did it the second time to USC players, but I'm good with Beamer's post-game response.

Hopefully Dylan reciprocates Beamer's loyalty by not transferring after the season, as he will surely have many suitors.

I hope Stewart demonstrates learning to be man on the field and with loyalty.
