and all I got was sunburned scalp.

I'm glad I got a rental in Cincy and drove home, or I'd still be making stops in every pasture with a windsock and a shack between here and there.

The game wasn't that bad until WVU's defense started getting gassed late in the third quarter. It was pretty warm by WV standards for mid-October. The heat seemed to be a significant factor in the defense running out of gas.

Playing these Texas teams in the fall is the same as going up against the Florida teams in the fall. The sun and the heat are real factor for a team from a true four season climate.

I'm for moving conference football season back a month and making the Texans come up here in November and December. There's no doubt in my mind Iowa State and the Kansas schools would be all for it.

I am betting you will never see the U of Texas in Morgantown in December. That will be ISU, KSU and Kansas.

The State of Texas rules the conference and they will forever take care of their own first. Oklahoma is a distant 2nd, so those guys will never see W. Va. In November.

Thanks, Myers... Good info on the 2 Texas teams. And yet, just look who is on tap after the weather turns bad.
You have a real shot at those last 5...beware the turnovers

Reminds me of the time Miami came to play WVU in cold weather and nobody in the area would sell them kerosene for their sideline heaters...Funny s_i_.

Have you ever looked at WVU's roster? We have 30 kids from Florida, Georgia and Texas. I'm sure they didn't spend a lot of time playing in frigid cold conditions. Playing at home in November doesn't give us a huge advantage regarding the weather.

I wasn't trying to be helpful. I was just mocking your idiotic statement.

Mike, how did you enjoy Waco and the Baylor campus?

I considered both Baylor and TCU for my road trip this year, but opted for the latter. Just wondering about your experience.

Except for the traffic, I enjoyed it. It was the first time I've been to Waco in decades. Dallas is about 80-100 miles north and a major airline hub. It's an easy trip as long as you're near another major airport.

Cincy was as close as I could get a Saturday flight back. From long hard experience of trying to fly back into Charleston, I opted for a rental car from Cincy. It's quicker.

Baylor still has some kinks with the stadium, but they should be worked out by the time WVU heads out that way in two years.

I wish I could have spent a day knocking around out there but I was on a tight schedule.
