I’ll go with Jeremy Pruitt. He becomes eligible to return to on field coaching in 2026. I know he has baggage but the guy knows defense. Baggage never stopped Saban from hiring what he thought would help Bama win a title.

If Pruitt can focus on being DC, he would make a good one. Pruitt's problem is, he is stupid and can't keep his mouth shut and gets involved in too much stuff outside of coaching the defense.
Beamer hired his replacement. I cannot remember his name. He was hired as Senior Defensive Analyst before this season. He has been a DC.

When I was working, in Columbia, me and a friend (also a Gamecock fan) would periodically have lunch with Phil. He hid his loyalty well, back then, to us, knowing we were Carolina fans. That said, he is a Carolina grad.
