He's going to lose all the momentum the program has built up from the bowl wins and 2 division titles, similar to how the BB program lost momentum from the Tourney appearance.
While scheme and game day coaching have both played a part in the shocking deterioration this season (getting blown out by the likes of Neb and UI), the biggest contributing factor seems to be recruiting not panning out despite having classes filled with recruits with numerous P5 offers (similar to how too many of the 4* BB recruits not playing to the level of their recruiting rankings/stars), with both programs exacerbating things by repeatedly missing out at the crucial QB/PG positions.
Don't buy the "we are young" excuse that Fitz floated out as there were plenty of upperclassmen on the roster and many of the best players for the Cats having made an impact their RS Frosh or soph yr like AWalk, Paddy, JJtBC, Newsome, etc.
In fact, one can say that AWalk and Paddy's best season as a Cat were their 1st years as a starter when there was more talent surrounding them for them to do their thing.
It's a sobering thought that we really didn't see any underclassmen showing splashes of talent.
