WOW. Some rumblings over on TOS that it may happen.

G- Derryck Thornton
G- Grayson Allen
G- Matt Jones
G- Luke Kennard
G- Frank Jackson
F- Jayson Tatum
F- Harry Giles
F/C- Amile Jefferson
F/C- Chase Jeter
C- Marques Bolden
F- Javin DeLaurier
C- Antonio Vrankovic
F- Jack White

In this scenario, Robinson is no longer on scholly and Obi goes elsewhere/medically retires.

I'm a little unsure actually. A couple folks who I really trust have told me we are a no go for Bolden. But all I see is him being lost in a pool of big men at Kentucky next season. And Harry's last blog, I wonder when he wrote that because he sounds real optimistic about Bolden.

We will know by April 17. He will make his decision by then according to Cats Pause. All I can say is please please PLEASE be Duke.

Seeing your roster list for next season makes it more clear. I was trying to figure it out in my head and I kept coming up with 14 lol

I'm just disappointed this couldn't be our lineup for 2017. I really think this group could win the whole thing:

Tyus Jones 6'1 Jr
Grayson Allen 6'5 Jr
Brandon Ingram 6'8 So
Jabari Parker 6'8 Sr
Jahlil Okafor 6'11 Jr

Luke Kennard 6'5 So
Justise Winslow 6'6 Jr
Jayson Tatum 6'8 Fr
Harry Giles 6'10 Fr
Amile Jefferson 6'9

Derryck Thornton 6'2 So
Frank Jackson 6'3 Fr
Matt Jones 6'5 Sr
Javin DeLaurier 6'9 Fr
Chase Jeter 6'10 So

No knowledge on the situation at all.... But if this is the case, maybe Marques is hearing some Kentucky big men are coming back??? Just a thought, but like I said no knowledge... I'm going to assume he isn't coming and I'll be pleasantly surprised if he does.... But like the majority have been saying, if he doesn't I still believe we will be fine.

You really think Obi will transfer?

I will be happy if we get 1 of either Grayson or Bolden.
But at this point, I would guess there is less than a 50% chance for each guy being in a Duke uniform next season.

Also, Skal is good as gone at UK. (Huge mistake, the guy is so weak, but it's his life) And I am sure Bolden knows that as well.
Here's to the hope that Bolden assumed he would have played over Skal anyway and that Skal's decision has no impact on Bolden.

What if Frank Jackson, Tatum and Giles are the next D. Rose, Paul George and Chris Webber? These extra pieces won't matter as much. We are truly blessed. That said, let's get them all.

Would be awesome, although how many national titles did these guys win?? And how many NBA titles??? 0 and 0.

Here's to the hope that Tatum and Giles end there college careers with 1 title, Frank - 2 or more!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully Giles, Tatum and Jackson will be the next Okafor, Winslow and Jones because that trio won the title last season

I think Grayson stays. Best case in the NBA draft this year is that he is a late first rounder. Scouts are very concerned that he can't score in the lane when facing real size and shot-blocking ability in the lane (i.e., Kentucky). If he develops a pull-up jumper (and improves his defense and rebounding), his NBA stock goes up regardless of whether next year's draft is more competitive. Plus he obviously loves playing at Duke and may prefer making another title run over playing in the D League next year even if he is putting off making a million by a year. Then again, I thought there was a good chance Tyus would stay after last season.

Bolden, I don't know, but we have posters here with unnamed sources who say he is not coming, while we have Giles, whose source is Bolden, himself, saying he is very optimistic. I have to lean toward Giles' source.

This upcoming draft is projected to be MUCH weaker than the 2017 draft. And honestly, I don't see how Grayson can improve his stock any more. He probably isn't gonna grow anymore, and he has he muscle/athleticism of an NBA player already.

Trust me, if Grayson goes, he will not be in the D league next year.
Tyus was a rare occasion. The hometown team wanted him and traded for him, then they signed a veteran PG Andre Miller to "tutor" Zack Lavine. Stuff like that happens, but it's pretty rare.

Again, I hope Grayson stays. The "Duke effect" is what will keep him here next year, not because he wants to improve his draft postion.

Skal has to go because if he doesn't then he will fall completely out of round 1 with another year like he had this year. While he is still viewed as having "potential" he's got to go.

Is Bolden seen as a pretty sure instant impact kind of guy? Last I saw, he was #12 prospect and top center. I know next years class is good. How would he compare to Stone, Ellenson, or some of this years freshman bigs?
