I think this years team can go with 2.
Id like it to be Cunningham and Conley.

Cunningham is not a good fit for this offense. We need to keep feeding our running backs. Puma is the best option. He'll get better. Conley would be my second choice.

I honestly believe we would have scored 2 or 3 more touchdowns with Puma in the game today. Our running game would have been a lot more effective. I expected Hall and Hawkins to go for 150 yards a piece today.

I’d have to agree with Cardinalera here Kerry. Malik plays too one dimensional. I’d say Pass for now but I’d love to see Conley get more time.

An offense that has RPOs needs a quarterback who makes the right reads.

Malik does not make the right reads.

He keeps. Because he wants to run. Puma has been making the right RPO reads.

I think Puma would have handed the ball off more and allowed our running backs to pound the WKU defensive line into submission, develop a rhythm, and grind out longer drives keeping our defense off the field on what was a HOT AF day in Nashville. I think our D got tired. I also think Puma would have had as good a shot to hit the longer throws as Conley and Malik. I felt like he improved on his accuracy last game.

And while you might not think Conley is the right guy for an RPO system, keep in mind he was recruited to App State and they thought enough of him to bring him here.

I don’t think Puma is the qb of the future by any means, with that said I don’t think Malik is either, but I’d choose Pass over Malik right now. The poise and touch Conley showed tonight has impressed me more than what Pass and Malik have done combined.

Someone said Conley was being recruited to App St, if that’s true then Coach Satt is pretty fond of him to bring him here. Freshman or not, if Conley proves to be best option I think Coach will play him

The QB spot is a real conundrum. Pass is better suited for the type of offense than Cunningham, but it's yet to be seen if Conley is a better passer than Pass.

We need a FrankenQB; take parts from all ours guys and build them into the starter.

I understand what you're saying, but I think Hawkins and Hall are *better* runners than Malik.

Malik is a good runner out of the QB position. He would be a poor running back. I think pound for pound we get more value out of a handoff over the course of one or more games than we do with him keeping it if that makes sense.

As long as they hand it off to Hawkins at least 20 times a game I really don't give a ****.

I think they all have a skill set that the Cards could win games with, if things break their way.

In a way, it's been a bit of a blessing all 3 got an opportunity to contribute so far with positive plays.

In the interest of accuracy, Malik came into this game with a higher career rushing yards per carry (6.26), more yards and touchdowns than either of the two running backs.

He doesn't fit this scheme very well at QB for what they are trying to do. That's what I'm saying, and our offensive line has been coached on run blocking. You can run behind them now if you're a RB.

Malik often over ran the play which didn’t leave space for him, the back or receiver. So who knows next game? I know the time that Conley Got was invaluable.

Puma has the stronger arm, but Malik has better mechanics and as a result completes a higher percentage of his passes. Right now, I think Malik moves us the most consistently.

I would go with Pass then Malik then Conley. I did think Conley looked good for the situation he was in and wonder what he would look like if he got more playing time. This is a weird year it seems like everyone is losing their starting quarterback.

One interesting thing to consider about Conley is that he has just as much experience in this offensive system as either Malik or Jawon. He just has less actual game experience. Once he gets more of that, this QB battle is definitely a three man race.
