I will fully expect it to look like Nicholasville Road and Fayette Mall at Christmas time. Luckily, I was heading north on Nich Road about 1 PM today, back downtown and traffic heading south was backed up three lanes from the Mall all the way back to almost Southland Drive. I cannot even imagine what the Mall parking lot must have been like, surely = to the Seventh Circle of Hell.

Quickest route between work and home for me is reynolds road. Even with all of the traffic i have figured out where i need to swerve in and out of lanes to get home quickly.

Regardless... The people that take the mall exit onto reynolds closest to nich road and then want to get all the way into the turn lane towards new circle when it is backed all the way down to the train overpass need to be dragged from their car and caned for spectator pleasure. Christmas really does highlight what a spoiled *** me first society we live in...

Try Hurstbourne Lane in Louisville come Holiday season. I work and live off of it. There are no back roads.

True that.

I moved from Lexington about four years ago. I don't understand the constant closing of certain lanes and opening of lanes on that road toward downtown.

What also sucks balls about Nicholasville Road and the mall is that it's the central location for the majority of the state where others from all over flock there to try and find something half-way decent since there aren't any options in their local towns. It's awful.

I also don't know why these people have not discovered online shopping.

There's more incoming traffic in the morning so there are more incoming lanes. There's more outgoing traffic in the afternoon so there are more outgoing lanes. Not very complicated.

For me I'm perpetually at my own surprise birthday party and its filled with people I don't know well and I'm having to open gifts in front of them. Or I'm walking into a crowded theatre late trying to find somewhere to sit.

U.K. Football under Joker and Stoops will be on 24/7.

LOL, you have seen my posts far too often. But for the truly evil who deserve the worst, the 8th circle of Hell may well be a never ending loop of the 2nd half of the 2015 UL game, where the UK DE bites on the fake, and we never complete a pass or make a first down for all eternity

Good gawd, never believed I'd see Nicholasville Rd's equal until I re-located to Louisville and encountered Hurstbourne. Resembles a NASCAR race without the sponsorships. IMO.

I'll never understand how Lexington couldn't support three normal size malls but can now support Fayette Mall and its outdoor expansion, (what's left of) Lexington Green, the new thing at Nicholasville and Man O War and Hamburg. Whoever was in charge of Turfland Mall must have been historically inept. I miss that place.

Got caught in it today, then got caught in a really bad one on Landsdowne at 5:30. I have driven in really bad traffic before, but it drives me nuttier in my home town.

Ever been thru a divorce and sign over your IRA and house? Hell would be like Club Med.

Are you kidding me? You had to sign over your IRA? Did a judge decide that? I will never understand how a woman can absolutely rob men in court proceedings.

memorize those Belleau Woods/Lansdowne/Zandale back roads. You can get from Central Baptist to Giuseppe's in about the same amount of time as it takes to get from Southland Dr to New Circle.

Landsdowne was backed up from Reynolds to nearly Malabu yesterday, and almost as far today. Doesn't help much during the holiday season.

No back roads on Hurstbourne? Road is littered w/ neighborhoods from Shelbyville to 64.

Agree all the above have traffic issues but nothing beats The DuPont area around the hospitals at lunch or any rush hours M-F. Miserable and def no cut thrus.

But none that get you to the other side of 64. Therein lies the problem.

I was in Nashville a couple of weeks ago and the traffic was backed up 2 miles trying to exit off the Briley Parkway onto Opry Mills mall exit. :grimace:

Atlanta laughs at the Lexington traffic like most SEC schools laugh at our football team.
