How could nacho cheese be considered when there is an option so regular that it has no flavor additive? Regular is regular and nacho cheese is nacho cheese. Regular condoms no ribs. Regular beer no imports. Regular gas not ethenol. Regular titties no silicone and regular sex no doggie or 69 or gag balls or whatever mega is taking pictures of Thor doing in his bedwahr. It's just regular.

Simple dork. 99% of all Doritos ever bought are nacho cheese. It's branded as regular because it's normal. "regular" doritos are just ****** tortilla chips and there are better options for those.

Only a dangerous psychotic would ask someone to go to the store and get "regular" Doritos and literally mean Doritos without delicious artificial flavoring. Weirdo.

Regular Doritos = Nacho Cheese Does regular Coke = Sprite in your world just because it has less flavor? I would also make the assumption that you do not mean "plain" Doritos because they are the shittiest of all the possible plain corn tortilla chips that you could possibly buy at the store, so why would you mean those.

I wouldn't refer to them as "plain", but rather "regular" . If you want plain doritos, just buy tortilla chips.

I work in Research and Development for a large food company. I always walk down the chip aisle to scope the new flavors. They are always ahead of everyone for flavor trends.

Wow. I had no idea that there was flavorless Doritos. "Regular" Doritos means Nacho Cheese as the linked poll demonstrates. If you say "plain" Doritos, I would still get Nacho Cheese. If you want plain tortilla chips, those are called Tostitos unless you designate something else specifically.

Ya until this thread I didn't even know Doritos came in flavorless or plain. Wow I learn something new on here at least once a week. I would have brought home Nacho Cheese.

he didn't say "plain". He said "regular".

Exactly. Regular means standard, normal, typical. And I think we all know what the standard dorito looks like.

But if we don't, try this.

Do an image google search of "doritos" with no other modifier, and tell me what flavor the first image is.

By the way, it's the same first image that comes up if you search for "regular doritos."

A search for "plain doritos" naturally yields the boring yellow bag.

Does anyone under the age of 70 buy "plain" Doritos?
To be honest, I wasn't even sure that they made them anymore. I remember my parents buying them in the 1970s until much better tortilla chip options came along. I am amused but not surprised that some of our younger posters were not even aware of their existence. When was the last time they even marked plain Doritos? If Frito Lay played their cards right I bet they could make plain Doritos a hipster thing like PBR.

That bag pops yo. Maybe it's you that's boring.

That bag makes me want to curl up on the shag carpet and watch some Gilligan's Island while having a tasty snack of NORMAL F-ING Doritos. Then I'm gonna hop on my banana seat rocket and head down to Justin's house and throw the Nerf around or hit the 2600.

So what has happened to the Plain, Regular, Yellow bagged Doritos? I can't find them anywhere! I must have kept the non-flavored Doritos alive until about three months ago. Now excuse me while I go get a Cragmont Cola.
