TJ Collett has to be in the lineup and get his stroke back. I expect him to be in the lineup vs South Carolina.

In SEC play he is hitting .129 with 10 strikeouts in 31 at bats, 0 home runs, and 2 walks. That's pretty abysmal. He's got to do better than that. I understand that he can't do that without at bats, but at .129 he's hurting more than helping, especially when Shinn came in and has hit .375 in 8 at bats (although to be fair, he has also struck out 4 times).

What is going on there... how do you replace his bat with guys hitting. 100 pts less with zero hrs

Looking for more base hits. The guys overall aren't hitting better than Collett, but he's just hitting .129 in league play, and hasn't hit a home run in league play. Maybe if he takes a break and has some good cage sessions he'll start seeing the ball better and get back in there and start hitting more dingers for us.

Part of the problem is that our opponents now have a book on him and are pitching him differently than in the early games. Offspeed pitches in the dirt are a problem for him. I predict he has a good weekend against the Gamecocks.

I think it's time to move Cottam to the 3 spot.. Pompey has to stop striking out so much

Move Heyer up too the 4 spot is fine with me with how he's hit the ball.
Aklinski is who id lead off with..

That's what I was seeing also. Inside and low and he didn't adapt or layoff the low inside pitch.

Collett reminds me a little bit of Gunnar McNeill who played under Henderson. Played 1B or DH, and had a long long hitting streak early in the season. Once he got into SEC play, other teams figured him out and only gave him off-speed pitches in the dirt and it seems like never got another hit again. Was absolutely awful the rest of the year. I hope the same fate doesn't await TJ
