Going to be a tough game but I expect shots to fall and the O to be smoother now that we are shifting back to playing a finesse team. It’ll be a ball game under 5 min remaining and then it’s anyone’s game and comes down to 10 possessions both ways
Hope Butler’s ankle is GTG.

The rankings are going to change so much this year, but the weirdest rotation is when we see an over-confident Tennessee team at #1 next Monday.

If Pope keeps this collection of talent in the top 10 all season, particularly given how good the SEC will be, he should get Coach of the Year.

If we win, I don't think we drop. At least we shouldn't. These are both Q1A games. A win and a loss would nullify each other.

I wouldn't really call Gonzaga a finesse team they play a physical brand of basketball but they just have more skill to go along with it.

I would just call Gonzaga a good team. They can play most any style and they have a good coach.
Would like to see UK win to snap the beatings from them, but don't see it happening, especially after coming off a loss to Clemson.

Does it really matter at this point in the season? Just keep playing, getting better and get ready for the SEC and end of the year stuff. Then it will matter. It's a long year. Polls don't mean **** right now.

Only ranking that matters is the Net. When we win Sat, we move up :)

Also, crazy to think, we will play #1, #2, #3, #4, & #5 in the Net, and we're #6.

I'll ask… how far do we drop if we lose to Gonzaga by say 5?
To 10, maybe 12?

I disagree. Games matter. Rankings matter more toward the end of the year. Take Florida State football this year. Ranked in top 5. You telling me a win against them matters when their season tanked like it did? Not a chance. Now a win at the end of the year against a top 5 is different. That early season win means nothing, even if they were ranked top 5, unless they stay there.

A win against Florida state when they were top 5, certainly does mean something, it's a whole lot better than losing to them when you see they can't even beat Memphis.

If you're dropping in the rankings, it means you're losing, so yes, it does matter.

Also, if you lose enough to fall out of the rankings, you become an out-of-sight-out-of -mind team and believe it or not, it does affect the perception of who you are in the eyes of the committee.

So many people think ranlings don’t matter, hut honestly, they do. If they didn't, they wouldn't have rankings.

Don’t you think the competition should be factored into that?
yes and the fact that all teams are losing on the road but to lose 2 in a week there's no chance we won't drop and will drop a bunch if we lose again

You keep saying WE.

I think we’ve already established that you’re just visiting here.
