Could see them in the second round.

They could be an 11 in the play-in, matched with a 6 like St Mary’s.

Also could be true of the likes of Arkansas, Oklahoma, IU, Ohio St.

Lots of interesting possibilities as a 3 to face a rival of some sort in round two through unconventional means.

That would suck. We should beat all of them but each one has moments where they are dangerous.

Not looking good for UNCheat.

Also, thing about the tournament is, you got to play somebody at some point. Chances of us having a game that we'd call easy or favorable aren't very high. This tournament will get hard in round 2.

They seem to have issues putting the ball in the hoop
The offense is terrible. Most of the game a guard, usually Davis, dribbles for 15 seconds, passes to another guard who passes it back and fourth out front. Sometimes that guard drives and tosses up a prayer and sometimes they just shoot a contested three. Rarely do they do anything else. The rest of the team doesn't even try and rebound. Duke is getting plenty of rest on the defensive end. This is worse than that weave Cal liked so much. Very thankful for Pope.

just hating Flagg is the real deal

And you would LOVE him to be on your team. Lying if you say not
The hardest of hard passes. So much so I can't even quantify how much I don't want this nerd on my team. What do I want him for? So he can dribble off his leg with the game on the line again? Some Duke glazers on this board I tell you.

Nobody scares me tbh. Who the hell is harder than anyone we've played already?
Right. I agree. But there are good teams out there. And heck, we could be playing an SEC team by round two (I would assume that's possible).

We have proven we can beat anyone.

So no reason for fear. It’s opportunity.

There’s a danger for anyone in a one and done tournament.

No team faces the pressure that UK does every game. So that is new for our opponents.

If we just play our game we’re good.

That’s where I think Pope’s calm leadership is going to pay dividends.

I think there will be something exactly like that. In a round about way, they'll try to mask it, even though I've said all year long practically, that they will get a
East
1) dUKe
2) St. John's
3) Kentucky

etc.

yeah. that might be too... transparent. So I'm thinking its that and always been set in stone, or either

Midwest
1) Houston
2) Michigan State
3) Kentucky

I just dont see them sticking us in a region where the other #1 seed team is an SEC team. But that could be even a reason to PUT US into a region with a #1 SEC seeded team, because that means we wouldnt meet up until at least the regional finals. Which is, indeed, what they might very well do.

But it's Bubba and company running the selection show this year

does ANYONe SERIOUSLY THINK THEY ARE GOING TO LET unc** not get in, even after losing to dUKe today?

of course UNC*** will get in. And we're very likely to see them in our region. SOMEHOW

I say, just win everything here on out.

SEC tournament and #9

(Trust in Coach Pope)

Go Big Blue !

UNC has no business being in the tournament they have 1 win vs the field UCLA
their 2nd best win is vs SMU who is so far outside the tournament you need binoculars to see them.

I’m not fearful, but I do think it’s interesting how many of our rivals are lining up to possibly match up with us early.

Will say that I would rather play someone who doesn’t know us as well in round 2. I think we’ll be tough to prepare for on a quick turnaround.

Oh I also agree. We could see every SEC team flame out by the S16 too. And we've been known to do that as a conference and make us all look like hot garbage.

Go back to the Duke board man. The guy is incredibly unlikeable personality wise. What's hard to understand about that? He is also not the best played in the country. He's beaten up on the worst ACC, maybe ever, and when played actual good competition in the OOC wilted in crunch time with multiple turnovers. Why would you even stop to defend him on a KY board. Comical.

A fair share will lose when they shouldn’t but I could see us getting 5-6 teams into the sweet 16. That’s about the best a conference can hope for.
