Finished 6-6 and went to a bowl game... would Dawson still be our OC? Is it a blessing in disguise our L to Vandy?

Honestly a very good question and I kind of think Dawson would still be here. Very much a blessing in disguise if that's the case because Dawson is the worst to ever call plays.
If tension really was a high as suggested, Dawson's goose was cooked either way imo.
You can't say you know that for sure. You really think stoops would fire anyone after making a bowl game? I just couldn't see him doing that.
I don't think so. He was such a cancer cell in that locker room. I do think though, that had we wentto a bowl game, Gran would have been hired sooner so that he could coach in it.
I thought about this the other day. I will gladly take a loss to Vandy and no bowl game if it meant getting rid of Dawson. He may be worse than Uzelac and Ron Dudson. At least Dawson had quite a bit of talent to work with and the offense was still garbage.
Whatever, as I say about mitch, I like the place we happened to land in. And Vandy beat us on a fumble recovery inside the ten, a turnover (Towles would have made that tackle, he had the experience at it), and a trick play that should be and is meant to be confined to grade school-----or maybe sandlot.
