I took the privilege of shutting off my TV at halftime and went to bed watching a Columbo episode "Any old Port (Highly recommended)".
When I did awake at 3am for my 1st passing water, I had the calm of not knowing whether Penn State won or lost, I was able to sleep peacefully without the anxiety of knowing Penn State actually lost. Therefore, my dreams weren't soured. It wasn't until the morning when a text came in that said "2OT's and they lost who would have guessed."

Without watching anymore of the game and the previous post regarding if we lose, I want to say that it only took till today to feel optimistic, not Wed.

Wish they could have ran the table but that's not realistic. Look forward to winning the rest.

Shalom

My dad always said he was not near as unhappy about a loss if he first read about it in the paper.

I get too nervous to watch the game so I didn't look at the score until Sunday morning. With PSU track record in big games, I was fully prepared for the results. But you know what? I'm one of those fans that is happy with an 11-win season. People who call for Franklin to be fired are morons. Look at the problems Dabo, Smart, and other "can't miss" coaches are having. Do we really want Kiffin to coach PSU? I am grateful and thankful that we are rated in top 15 year after year.

I watched the game live until Penn State went down 17-3. Given the way the offense was playing the writing was on the wall. I switched to following the score on Yahoo or ESPN or whatever and saw they were clawing back. I turned on the bedroom TV just in time to see them kick the tying field goal in regulation. Then I turned off the TV and went to bed. I saw no point in getting worked up over OT, win or lose. I really expected to see that Penn State had won the game the following morning, but when I saw 30-24 and an Allar interception, all I could do was smile - that was hardly unsurprising. I wish I was a gambling man - I'd put money on any top ten team opposing Penn State and I'd almost be guaranteed to win.

I should add that I feel at this point that making the playoffs isn't going to help Penn State any until they can prove that they can win games against top ten competition. Penn State got an easy draw in the playoffs last year, and only lost when the competition got tough. That will happen again...and again. Groundhog Day.

Now PSU fans know the life of the Philly sports fans pre-2008. Always so close but let down in the big games. 😂😁🤷‍♂️
