That is out and about at the break of dawn every morning hoarding everything from TP to whatever...Why and when is enough enough? This is getting totally ridiculous. My grandson works at our local Walmart grocery and the last several days l've picked him up there are 3 police cars in front of the store to keep people from killing each other...total getting out of hand...was just wondering how much stuff do you folks need and where the hell are you keeping it? We are not going to run out of stuff. If you are hoarding it to be like the two brothers in Tennessee were , l hope you end up choking on it.

CEOs of all major grocery store chains have repeatedly said that there’s plenty of food, paper products and cleaning supplies in the pipeline. Their biggest challenge is replenishing their stores fast enough to keep up with demand. Worst case scenario is you might have to self-quarantine for 14 days. Once you have stockpiled a month’s worth you can stop already. There are people that bought enough TP to last into next year. That’s just insane.

It's bizarre. My SIL was in Sam's earlier in the week, and they were out. She asked a clerk if they were going to be bringing more out, and the clerk told her that they had a box trailer full at the dock, but no one to unload it at that time. Walmart, Kroger, Food City and others are hiring on the spot right now for shelf stocking down here in TN. People so far haven't been panicking too bad except for TP and paper towels. Searching for bread can be a little dicey, depending on what you are looking for.

Thankfully I ordered a bunch of TP on Amazon about 2 weeks before all hell broke loose or I would be hurting right now.

Part of the problem is that so many folks have their businesses closed, all they’re doing is sitting around watching the 24/7 coverage of the virus. And folks are freaking out.

My buddy called me from Costco Tuesday/Wednesday and said one worker there told him that morning they had 56 skids of TP and in 2 hrs it was all gone! People have lost their minds.

You’re NOT my supervisor, OP.
And don't want to be!!! If you are one you should be embarrassed by doing something so crazy...you can't be sh$$ing that much. Think of others sometimes! Just absolutely no need for such stupid stuff. You live in America for crying out loud. Multiple Police cars having to be parked in front of stores!!! Really??

Do our suburbanites not realize that tissues, paper towels, and even old newspapers and mags can serve, SO LONG AS YOU DON’T FLUSH THEM?

(Hint . . . you throw those into the trash.)

There is no "demand" for all this type behavior . It's more panick shopping.

People who are hoarding more toilet paper, paper towels, canned food, meat and wipes than they will use in a month should be shot on the spot. I’ll volunteer it would save money that I’d spend on the shooting range.
I keep a good supply of canned goods at all times and have a full size deep freeze that never goes empty. Venison alone can often get me longer than a single month. I also don't like to ignore the meat section at the grocery when prices are good or when cuts at the time look particularly good in quality. We also garden and do our own canning. Own a very good collection of Mason's and old Atlas brands. There is no way that I do not routinely have enough to get by for more than a month and I'm not even remotely efficient at this sort of thing as many people I know, none of whom are "preppers" but just folks who know how to function. Come find me. I'm obviously the sort of person you think needs to be shot. You can probably sneak up on me and do the job. But if you approach me and properly state your business first you will have a problem. Have a nice day, and should I have no judgement for people like you, who clearly believe they are entitled to the generosity of other men in order to achieve a convenient life?

Don't consider what you are doing as hoarding...it's being responsible and prepared.

Yeah, I'd bet he's almost out of Dinty Moore beef stew & very low on TP, too. He's mad, because he knows he should have got there earlier & duked it out over the Charmin.
Look stupid...l always keep a good supply of stuff and l wouldn't feed DM to my dogs...also buy GV tp. See smartasses like you don't have a clue.

Next time have her call you. Get a few buddies to hep. Bet they would meet you there and help you out. I bet if the clerk had announced this issue inside the store people would have lined up to help.

Wife scored 12 rolls of TP at a Meijer store that we just happened to check, driving by it... There was a line and the truck was being unloaded (3 boxes)... In the right place at the right time.
Then I begin to notice all the businesses offering a rolls of paper if you buy from them.... Anything from cars to sandwiches...
That's a "hell no" from me!

Come on man be real. I was talking about the idiots hoarding food during this crisis. Do you hoard toilet paper, hand sanitizer, etc.? Do you buy your Venison at Kroger. A lot of people have gardens and some can the stuff from their gardens. When I was a kid most people raised gardens an canned it. You obviously need some help with your reading comprehension or you’re just being a Smart @ss.

"Should be shot on the spot" . . . your words, not mine. And no, I wasn't dwelling on paper products and germ killers. I was responding to other people's right to do as they have a right to do vs. your need to judge and desire to kill them. My "comprehension" of your hate and anger was simply to further explain that people who provide similarly for themselves ROUTINELY (food > 1 month) have no right to judge the people who prepare for themselves that way SUDDENLY. AND since I am one of those routine people I am obligated to defend the actions of the sudden people. Again, I made no reference to paper products and germ killers and it was YOU who included FOOD. It was also you who debuted the cynical description to killing. I merely revised it. So really none of this is about either of our ability to comprehend or even communicate. This is really about your ability, your willingness, to think abstractly, past the surface layers and into those places where real human conflicts may be recognized, pondered for a spell, understood, solved.

What’s your opinion of what the Colvin Brothers in Tennessee did (the hand sanitizer guys).

That’s what everyone else is doing too. I haven’t seen a single example of hoarding anywhere I’ve been. In fact, stores around here are putting a limit on the number of items each person can purchase. I see people being smart in regards to the current situation. We’ll be staying at home distancing ourselves, while people like you will be out shopping every day.

You can’t fix stupid and you’re just plan stupid. If you believe people should hoard, you’re no one I want to to be around or read their post. I’m blocking you, because you’re just wrong. Hoarding stuff like buying 100 rolls of toilet, is hoarding unless you have a huge family, which most people don’t. Hoarding is the reason some people can’t get toilet paper, cleaning products, etc.. these same people will try and return it to their store when this is over. I hope the stores refuses to refund for it. It’s already been on the news that stores are warning their customers no refunds will be given on these products after this is all over.

You probably don’t believe anything’s different since this virus hit, but it is. I don’t give a **** how many deers you have in the freezer. I don’t give a crap about how many things you’ve grown and stored yourself. These things are yours. You killed the deer, and you planted the garden, and you canned the food you grew.

What pisses me off is that people like you think the hoarding that has occurred since the virus hit is ok. Just how much toilet paper do you use to wipe your butt. I’m thinking maybe a lot, because you’re full of ****.
