I think his comments are pretty spot on. Last 3 paragraphs (emphasis is mine):

"But in defense of Hill, she and all of ESPN’s public-facing employees have been put in a tough situation. ESPN, like all media companies, is grappling with new issues: Objectivity seems to be a dying ideal, and, in a crowded media environment, keeping your editorial volume at a moderate level isn’t always good for business. And, as I’ve written before, media companies are simultaneously asking many of their personalities to be active and engaging on social media but not partisan or opinionated. It’s a line that is, at best, blurry and, at worst, nonexistent.

As to the larger question of ESPN’s overall political climate, I still stand by what I wrote late last year: If you consume as much of ESPN’s content as I have for the past 22 months, it seems clear the company leans left. I don’t think anyone ever made an executive decision to go that route as much as the personalities the network has promoted into high-profile positions tend to be more liberal, and as their voices are amplified, the overall voice has shifted with it.

But I still think it’s a problem that needs to be addressed if ESPN plans to better navigate the intersection of sports, politics and culture, and if it wants to hold onto a larger share of its audience in these days of unbundling. Bringing back Hank Williams Jr. for Monday Night Football isn’t the answer; the answer is improved ideological diversity in ESPN’s overall products."

Glad you started a new thread about this, would have hated for it to get buried in the 10 page Jemele Hill discussion.

You wish it was a meltdown and not a bunch a sheep who cant even say what they're mad about being handled. Get more sheep, you still need help.

No ones mad babe. Actually just the opposite. Your melt down has given a lot of laughs.

You sound like a broken record in that thread. "Mommmmmmmy I just said it doesn't belong"

No exaggeration., you have said that 72 times minimum.

With all respect, he didn't nail it at all. Not one time did he address the true issue: why is she not being fired for things that would get a conservative fired. This is the source of a lot of the rising anger in this country. Why can she break rules but others can't? Why can illegals break the law but citizens can't? Why can Antifa bludgeon people but their opponents can't? On and on and on.

Then this gem: "And, no, it’s not because of the truthfulness -- or lack thereof -- of her statements, since, despite the claims of some, whether President Trump is a white supremacist is not something that can be stated with the same factual certainty as the sky being blue. It’s an opinion."

Can you imagine for one minute if this writer had said this: "And, no, it’s not because of the truthfulness -- or lack thereof -- of her statements, since, despite the claims of some, whether President Obama was born in the U.S. is not something that can be stated with the same factual certainty as the sky being blue. It’s an opinion."

I hate the term, but this tripe is the exact definition of Fake News.

Yeah, because it makes you so mad that you've tagged me in 3 unrelated threads. Seek therapy or an ointment for that butthurt.

I used to watch PBS News Hour every night because it was the closest to being unbiased of any newscast. During the primary word came down that the reporters were to come down harder in their interviews with Trump people. And they did. I stopped watching it about a year ago.

Keyser Soze gives the real Kaiser Sosay on here a bad name.

It's ok man. The opportunity fit. Didn't need a gyero fight.

Just count the sheep and whisk to sleep.
Too many to count, so many losers with the need to feel like they're apart of something, so they chose to be mad about nothing to fit in. It's an epidemic. Whatever happened to the real men?
