My 3 favorite shows of all-time are Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and Dexter. Any suggestions along those lines would be great. I'm really looking for something that I'll be able to get hooked on. Something with multiple seasons.

I'm not looking for sitcoms or fantasy. I've tried GOT a couple of times and I can't get into it.

Shows I've watched or am currently watching between seasons
American Horror Story
The Walking Dead (starting to get bored with it)
Big Little Lies
Penny Dreadful (disappointing)
Lost
American Gods (excellent show!)
Daredevil
The Punisher
CSI, SVU, Criminal Minds
The Last Kingdom
Supernatural
Bates Motel
Better Call Saul
Deadwood
Blindspot (quit watching, how has this not been canceled?)
Castlevania
Mindhunter (outstanding show)

I'll take as many as you guys can give.
Thanks!

"Elementary" - Modern day Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson.

"Fargo" - Three seasons so far. All three with different casts, set in a different year, and different story lines, but somewhat related. Dark comedy involving crimes gone horribly wrong, similar to the movie of the same name. All three seasons are outstanding.

"Westworld" - Only one season so far, but a great show. Acting is top shelf.

If you have access to Audience channel, try Mr Mercedes. Based on Stephan King novel. I think you can see episode 1 on their website.

If you have access to EPIX, try Get Shorty. It's breaking bad good.

I don't think I watch a lot of television.

I've watched the shows I listed over the course of 15+ years, lol

I work at night and I I watch around 2 hours of television when I get home to wind down. There isn't much else to do at 3 A. M. I also work 60 hours a week. I'm being defensive because some of you seem to think I lay around watching television all day.

Thanks for all of the recommendations!!

Responding to a few of them....

Outlander - I tried watching it and I think it sucks. It's my wife's favorite book series and she doesn't like the show either.

Roseanne - hell no, I hated it in the 90's, certainly not interested in a reboot

OP- turn the tv off and leave your house. Maybe try golf or take a walk in the park.

But if you insist. Watch the fantasy show Game of Thrones. You'll love it.

I see that my original post made me look like a television junkie. I spend 12 hours a day at my job and I'm about to start training for a half-marathon and I try to run at least two halfs a year. I think about 2 hours of television a day is reasonable. Lol

I posed the question because I like to focus on one show at a time and watch a couple of episodes every day until I've watched all of it.

I know GOT is very popular and people love it. I'll eventually give it another try which will be my third attempt.

I don't think Godless will have a season two, wasn't it a mini series? I really liked it.

Maybe not sure. Thinking about it can not really see what storyline would be unless something in California

After researching about all of these shows mentioned here I think Fargo, Black Mirror, and Peaky Blinders sound very good.

I plan to watch shows like Ozark, The Young Pope, etc. but they only have one season so far.

I've had some coworkers suggest Prison Break and Justified. Do any of you guys have thoughts on those two?

Justified. Boyd Crowder is my favorite tv character of all time.

I've started watching Person of Interest on Netflix. Better than I expected and multiple seasons to watch.
