When I was still teaching, I set a goal of 10 pounds between Thanksgiving Day and the day we went back after Christmas break - usually January 3.
I don’t seem to have that issue now that I’ve retired and am doing sales work. At about 3 to 4 pounds this year.

I'm right there with you. Despite having time off and playing more basketball, pickle ball, running, working out, apparently my caloric intake exceeded my increased activity level.

Last week I was actually down 3 lbs since Thanksgiving. But we've had 2 Christmas dinners and MIL 75th birthday dinner so far this week. Up 7 lbs

I gained 4 lbs and it feels much higher! I am blessed to have the free use of a friends beach condo for 8 days in early March…so I have some time to lose the extra pounds.
