did we not watch him hit big threes in games last year?

shooters go through rough stretches.

Chandler was barely hitting the rim in blue / white and against perdue.
Yeah, I hope you're right. I really love Noah, hoping for the best. He did well in games last year and struggled in some, as well.

Noah unfortunately went down with the ankle injury, Aberdeen moved to the point and Chandler went back to his natural position. The offense opened up and everyone got involved.
Chandler might be our best player. If I’m Pope, I just tell him to play with no fear of being benched.

Agreed, Pope trying to force Noah as a square peg in a round hole. Love Noah, but he isn’t a starter or major contributor. Don’t shoot the messenger just facts.
No way in hell you’re the original “rainmaker “ from back in the 1990’s….right? Stephen Johns ?

I dint understand why Noah is starting. Anyone care to enlighten?
I had always figured Pope would start the 4 returners to begin the season, at least the first 2 games. I’m assuming Noah won’t start now with the turned ankle. I’m sure he can play on it, but I bet it really needs a few more days for really going on it.

Part of the culture Pope is building. More Pitino like. Pitino has always liked to keep his recruits around. There were many players he stubbornly played at Louisville that never proved whatever point he was trying to make with them, but I think the point was always that they were “his guy”. He played Elisha Justice 10mpg on a 4 seed team that was supposed to be a “dark horse” before getting run by Morehead St. in the first round. Louisville fans no doubt see guys like Noah and Perry the same way we perceived guys like Justice.
