I felt good about the corona scenario until I saw Wisconsin in that list as well as the grandparents in Kansas.

Anyhow, considering how close he is to his family, if there is a summer without basketball, and uncertainty when school begins, I'll bet Wisconsin or NU.

And if the level of the degree is truly important to the kid, man, you can't compare the others to Duke or NU.

Pssssst, Pat ... NU checks all the boxes.

I have no insight here, but following his recruitment, I would say Duke is the team to beat. I don’t see Kansas or Wisconsin being a factor. If he turns down the Duke train, NU has a decent shot.

The kid is obviously well schooled in giving interviews. Found positives with every program and is careful not to tip his hand.

He could play at Chicago State and would still be a pro after his frosh year.

Because I would find it hard to grow up in a program and then commit to a rival, I assume he will not choose Wisconsin or any other Big Ten school.

If you're going to disappoint the school that's been part of your parents' life and your own childhood, you do that with a Duke....not Wisconsin.

I think it's Duke, NU and UW Milwaukee (which just got better w Lathon). I couldn't venture a guess. Do a combo of Baldwin and Christie make NU top three in the Big Ten? If so, that means NU is a top 15 ranked team (more likely top 10), so why cross the country to go to Duke?

I know next to nothing about UW Milwaukee. While it would be nice to be coached by dad, being 90 minutes away from mom and dad on a pretty nice campus where you know all the ins and outs has its upside as well.

There are plenty of 1 and done lottery guys who played on college teams that didn't do much, including some who didn't even make the tournament. I don't think getting these guys vaults a single-digit-win NU team up to Top 15 unless the team in between this coming winter is a LOT better.

I agree.

I assumed the team is much improved next year...and that Christie commits in addition to Pat

Playing for a blue-blood like UNC, Dook, Kansas and Kentucky is like getting into HYPS.

But at the same time, one would just be on a long list of high profile blue-chip recruits; and if you don't win the championship (or at least the F4) won't be as remembered as the players on the teams that do.

If PBJ and Christie commit to NU, that alone, would cause the Chicago and national media to take notice, and if they are in contention for the B1G championship and a deep Tourney run, then we'd see something along the lines of the media attention during the 1995 run to the Rose Bowl.

But yeah, would say that Dook looks to be in the driver seat.
