Anyone have any experience with these?

How does the Silverback (cheaper knock off) compare to the Goalrilla?

I've got a concrete pad and space is not really an issue (no neighbors).

I have a Goalrilla basketball goal because...well because I am not a poor.

Just kidding. Love the Goalrilla goal though. Didn't even price anything else so I can't help you on the other choices.

Also...don't ask the donfather this question. Sore subject.

Silverback and Goalrilla? Obvious play offs of Gorillas. Curious considering african americans have racistly been called gorillas, apes, monkeys, etc. and basketball is heavily dominated by african americans.

+1 on Goaliath. Goal was already installed at our house before we bought the house. I'm 37. Didn't think I would use it, but I do, and it's great. Echo everything that Jason said about sturdiness.

Third recommendation.

Had a Goaliath growing up. Last through weather, wear and tear, several VICIOUS Dunks that would of shatter the back board of a normal goal.

You are gonna spend around 250 for a roll away that falls down during a storm. You are better off biting the bullet and getting you a Goaliath.

Question to piggy back....

I have roughly 8" of property line to work with at the edge of the driveway and want to do something next year, I think the specs call for a 12" footer?

Do I:

- Pour an 8" footer and hope it doesn't fall over
- Pour a 12" footer (empty lot next to me, it will be surveyed this year or next) and hope I don't get sued
- Get a portable goal

Don't do portable. That looks redneck and would likely piss your neighbor off more than encroaching 4" into their yard.

Would an 8x18 instead of a 12x12 work? What's the diameter of the pole?

Dig 18" below grade (minimum) 12" diameter (minimum).
Back fill concrete to 6" from top of hole.
Let concrete harden and back fill dirt to cover concrete.
Add Grass. Profit.

How do you have your driveway within 8" of the property line? Most places require a minimum setback.
